i'm erika gonzalez and we begin in the weather center with somara theodore. who's been keeping her eye on the severe storm warnings. are we in the clear? >> severe thunderstorm warnings for prince george's county, washington, d.c., have expired. you can look at the map, down towards calvert county. you can see it starting to rip through with lightning. but the rest of us, making an exit for the storms as they push out over the bay. i want to show you the stark line of demarcation, the clouds, the storm, and behind it, the sun came right back in. in fact, we saw drop with these storms, but if you were wondering, can i get back in the pool? yes, and fire up the grill. tonight, temperatures drop into the mid 70s. we'll see a cold front moving through tonight to bring us drier air, mostly cloudy conditions, but you can head back outside. the storm threat is pushed out to the bay. i'll have more on your july 4th forecast coming up soon. >> all right, somara, thank you. now we want to go to breaking news in prince george's county. a home invasion in broad daylight

and somara theodore joining us in the team 4 storm weather center. >> we are in for a good couple ofs. there are rain chances as we head through the top of the week but overall we are looking good for a holiday weekend. the first thing i want to break down for you is the headlines, things you need to know. not as humid walking out your door, and it will still be hot. temperatures climb 90s. isolated storm chances do follow us as we head into your july fourth. back to you. >>> a candlelight vigil is planned tonight to honor the life of a father of four that was killed in a motorcycle crash. he lost control of his motorcycle in brandy wine. it happened on thursday on ranch avenue and moore road. tonight's vigil is set for 7:00 at the crash site. >>> a boy hit while riding his bike. the driver allegedly taking off. if true, here's what is most disturbing. there are claims the car that hit him was a police cruiser. d.c. police are investigating the claims. police say the boy ran off the road and struck a wall in an alley, reports. >> they are saying the driver, the officer, drove away. >

good evening, i'm somara theodore, right now, we're experiencing our second line of storms lighting up with a few severe thunderstorm warnings. the first one is in southern prince george's county. zooming in, we have high winds with this one, about 60 miles per hour. here's a few of the areas that i'm expecting to see get hit pretty soon here. brandywine, coming up at 6:15, naylor, 6:23 p.m. we'll continue to see this storm push down towards the south and east. again, you are looking at very high wind speeds. in the northern neck, we're seeing lightning and damaging winds and heavy rainfall. that will head to fredericksburg, imagine in the next 20, 30 minutes. so if you are outside, on areas east of fredericksburg, go ahead and move inside, we are expecting that this severe thunderstorm will continue to push through. i am tracking storms from the northern portions of maryland down into the northern neck, and i wish i could say that was all we were going to see for this evening, if you look back west, around 10:00, 11:00, we could get another batch of wet weather. if you're planning on
