here comes some stormy weather. we could see some isolated strong storms moving through the region just in time for the evening commute. everything should die down by 9:00, 10:00. midnight tonight we will get some clearing coming through. we'll have some rain totals in that seven-day forecast coming up. >>> prepare to see a lot of walgreens stores popping up. the new merger with ride aid will expand the pharmacy's retail footprint to 13,000 stores. walgreens is buying rite-aid for 17.2 billion. it's an effort to take on cvs. experts say a merger could mean lower prices for you when buying prescription drugs. the company would have more power to negotiate costs with pharmaceuticalmakers. >>> the new walmart at ft. totten is officially open in northeast washington. this is one of six planned stores for the district. the first store opened back in 2013 on h street and georgia avenue. there's been a debate will lower wages. walmart threatened to pull stores if the city required the retailer to pay worker 1s $12 a hour.

you can see right there putting up some barriers and some cones here.we are standing essentially right where this sinkhole was. you can see right here this is the outline of the sinkhole. there it is in the middle of this intersection, and again, they will be reopening just one westbound lane of alvarado boulevard in just about a half hour or so is what i am told. this lane will be reopened after being closed for a week for all in repair work going on here. this huge sinkhole. it was first spotted last wednesday here in alvarado boulevard and new haven street. just outside of alvarado middle school. the sinkhole ruptured a water main and also flooded as well. so quite a bit of work for crews to do. and eventually, it grew to 35 by 40 feet wide and ten feet deep. but now, after a week of work, crews have filled up that hole they have repaved part of it p. they need to keep one lane closed so they can repair a suer line. still more work to be done in this area. and at the same time, union city officials say they are still trying to figure out in investiga

we stephanie: welcome back to some health news on local five. stephanie: the american academy of pediatrics wants to raise the age to legally buy cigarettes -- nationwide -- to 21. jack: that includes all tobacco products - and e-cigarettes. right now only hawaii and about 90 other cities and communities enforce the 21 age limit. the recommendation was among more than two-dozen released today by the nation's leading pediatrics group. it's aimed at reducing the number of children addicted to nicotine. another recommendation would outlaw flavors like grape and cotton candy added to tobacco products. the group also urged the f-d-a to regulate e- cigarettes like it tobacco products. jack: this is for you. suggests processed meat can cause and red meat contributing factor in developing cancer. world health organization's cancer group. the study classifies processed meat as -- quote -- "car'cinogenic to humans" with the potential to cause colon cancer. red meat is classified as "probably carcinogenic." jack: this likely being buzzed about in the ag in

some years we will be above that and some years below that. but if we are looking at our cash rent levels and plug in $4.60 corn and $10.60 soybeans and there are losses, or only small gains, then you must question if those rents are sustainable. if they are not, then lower those rents. here's the thing about using the long run corn and soybean midpoint prices. those are calculated for thirty years worth of trade. usda's price outlook through 2020 doesn't even get close. it's a lot more like current prices and that's a whole different set of expectations. evenenf you thought, "just one more year, and the cash rent will come down to a more reasonable level", corn and $10.60 for soybeans, an appropriate cash rent for central illinois would be about $250 per acre. that cash rent would generate a loss at the budgeted prices we are using for 2016, which are $3.90 for corn and $8.90 for soybeans. so, if we are at those prices even a $250 cash rere would cause losses. rentntwould need to go low $220 per acre inentral illinois. obviously this is at a

had some yellow in there. it's really down here we're seeing darker greens and heavier showers coming on by. not a big concern but they're out there. you can see some that have darker green showing here from 68 and 31 coming from central massachusetts and up there looks like in the northern reaches of the town of ruddland we're seeing some of the heavier shower activity. but it has been weakening, certainly good news and that will continue to be the case. northward into new hampshire we track the showers from massachusetts and vermont all the way into new hampshire tonight. guilford seeing some moderate showers, some yellow spots showing up here around barrington so heavier downpour happening at this time. the last of the shower activity moving on through tonight but the stuff coming through central massachusetts will make its way to the southshore overnight and a couple of showers will show up there so that will be it. the morning and into the middle of the day. notice the clouds start to pop up by lunchtime.
