you can see starting to get going northern sonoma county. as questiwe get into this after more activity. i stopped the clock tonight at 8:00. the front still draped well to the north of san francisco, but everything presses south as we meet back here tomorrow morning and by 11:00 a.m., you're already talking about 12 straight hours of moderate to heavy rainfall up in the north bay. now for us here in the south bay, the heaviest stuff doesn't get going until we hit tomorrow afternoon into the evening hours. once it starts we'll be in the thick of it as well with 12 hours of moderate to heavy rainfall and our roads are just not equipped to receive these kinds of rain rates. you want to keep that in mind. we're doing the work for you. we'll let you know what's going on this weekend when showers start to let up a touch, tell you what's going on indoors, a couple great events happening across the bay area, always doing our research for you especially if you've got kids. it can be hard to keep them inside for long periods of time. i wouldn't know

when you look at marin and sonoma they launched in may, lancaster launched in may of this year. i don't think we can do it this year. but perhaps we look to spring of next year because of heche hech power maybe we'll get snowpack and perhaps we'll figure out when it's best to launch. set that rate. we already know what that rate is going to be. it's going to be a pg & e rate to launch. >> they actually go to the public utilities commission to set their rates. so we know there is a schedule for rates based on that presentation. so, that seems like we can tailor to what we are seeing is going to be decisions made at the california public utilities commissioner what the rates are for pg & e's regular power for customers. >> yes, there is going to be some guessing involved in that because pg & e can change their rates 4-6 times a year. there is going to be a little bit of guessing and perhaps go below of what the rate is in case they decide it's going to be cheap now. so we go out there and start that part of the program and for lack of better terms get it towards launch and as harl

right now you can see where the showers are, relatively light at this point except for north of sonoma county. this is all moving in very quickly at this point. we're expecting heavier downpours in daly city by 6:25 and 6:10, in half moon bay. i take you into the 1:00 hour and you can see right in that window getting heavy rain all the way from san francisco south to san jose. that will continue until tonight. by tomorrow morning at about 2:00 p.m., everything lightens up. tomorrow morning you have opportunities to get outdoors and sunday, another wave of moderate to heavy rain comes through, 7:00 a.m., i stop that clock for you. everything starts to push out as we head throughout the second half of the day on sunday. so all three waves of rain combined are going to bring in some very good looking totals for us. we really need to add up this rain and need it to fill up our reservoirs and we'll talk about how much we're expecting in tahoe coming up in my next report. 1.5 to 2.5 inches feasible in the south bay. two to four on the east shore and looking good, 2 to 4 in san francisco. mt.

at 8:00 this morning, sonoma didn't have any rainfall.t took quite a while until early afternoon to pick up on it across the time lapse. then this afternoon we had a nice blast of warm weather that boosted totals to a quarter of an inch by 2:00 p.m. and then as we headed to the evening hour we did get close to three-quarters of an inch. much higher totals up in the north bay. check it out. venado 7.68", healsburg. a lot of activity remains across the east bay and the south bay. the worst is moving through. after this we'll still have some rainfall for tonight, but i don't think it's going to be as bad as what we've experienced the past couple hours. right now some of the worst rainfall continues across portions of the santa clara valley, including san jose and also for the extreme south bay. as we get a look at your forecast as we continue throughout tonight, what you're going to find here across the bay area is yes, we are eventually going to see conditions clear out throughout the region. by 10:00 and 11:00, that rainfall is going to be
