we are also seeing rising creeks in sonoma county.ellow is flash flood watch for the entire bay area. a lot of ponding on the roads. temperatures 50s and 60s. other side of the story, very gusty winds, 38 right now at sfo, 29 in oakland, 16 san rafael. pretty consistent winds 20 to 30 stronger gusts up to 40 miles per hour. this is why the national weather service has extended the wind advisory until 1:00 this afternoon. then the winds will begin to dial back 10 to 20. i wanted to break your day down for you. so now until 10 a.m., windy with soaking rainfall. then all this shifts to the santa cruz mountains and then we'll have the rain begin to taper by the evening commute. you have to keep in mind this is atmospheric river conditions which means we have like a "firehose" effect all the subtropical moisture moisture all the way back to the tropics. it's taking a beeline to the santa cruz mountains with the pouring rain. we have rain through the afternoon hours tapering by the evening commute. wednesday more scattered showers and look

in sonoma county.... flooding shut down parts of highway 121. highway 121 and highway 12 meet. firefighters started blocking the road at around 6:30 yesterday morning. there is at least one foot of water at the deepest point. c-h-p is urging cars to stay at least a mile away from the closures. this didn't stop some people living in the area to go see the flooding. water." you may remember earlier this month, people had to be rescued on highway 121 in schellville because of the heavy flooding. which is why c-h-p and caltrans is advising drivers to steer clear of the area nad pay attention to road signs. flooding forced street closures in alameda county. alameda creek overflowed in a number of spots spilling onto walkways and trails. the flooding forced the closure of niles canyon road at mission boulevard. part of niles canyon was also closed because of a mudslide. people who live in the area say they have never seen this much water in the creek. in sonoma county... a large sinkhole and river erosion is threatening four homes in monte rio. and th
