(pam) we are learning more about a police shooting in sonoma county. happened overnight in cotati. investigators say, it all started when several fights broke out -- as bars in downtown were closing. cotati police requested backup from sonoma state university campus police... at one point -- there was a report of a man fighting with a woman -- and when bystanders tried to intervene -- the man pulled a gun. the suspect took off by the time police arrived -- but officers did hear gunshots in the distance. a few hours later, a sonoma state campus police officer found a suspect fitting the description. according to investigators, the man was acting aggressively, and when tasing him did not have an effect, the officer fired his weapon. no word on the suspect's condition tonight. . >> he's suing sonoma county and he spoke to bigad shaban. he's here to tell us more. >> reporter: we're talking about bryce lemon, a former musician who says he hit rock bottom when he landed in jail two years ago. he was homeless but tells us what happened next turned his whole world upside. these records say he was intoxicated, shivering and soaking wet. he was taken to a hospital and treated for hypothermia before he was locked up at the sonoma county jail. he says when he was placed in a cell he was still wearing his same wet clothing. he tells us he complained to medical staff at the jail about extreme pain in his legs and feet but for three days, he says, his complaints went unanswered. he ultimately had to have his left leg amputated. the sonoma county sheriff's office runs the jail and denies accusations it ignored lemon's request for medical care. lemons is now suing the county as well as california forensic medical group, the company paid to provide medical services inside the jail. that company designed our repeated requests for c

but last week, the sonoma county sheriff's office made an announcement... killer was in custody last week. lynsey mukomel sat down with jason's parents. the sonoma county sheriff's department has a suspect in custody for the double murder on a jenner beach that happened more than a decade ago.lindsay cutshall and jason allen were shot in killed in their sleeping bags while camping on fish head beach in august 2004.shaun gallon, 38, has been identified as the suspect. he was in custody for the murder of his brother when deputies questioned him on the jenner murders.authorities say gallon had information on the killings that no other person could have known. they also said they have gathered evidence linking gallon to the crime.investigators believe the murders were random and that gallon did not have any connection to the couple. gallon was arrested on march 25 for the murder of his brother in forestville.no one has ever been charged in the killings, and no motive has ever been made public. the sonoma county sheriff's dispatchers said they had no more immedi
