and the city of santa rosa and sonoma county have been trying to get the residents prepare for what is to come from the rain that is expected. in some of the urban areas, they have been cleaning out some of the ditches and the storm drains. and some of the rural areas, they have been installing some debris capturing devices. they are trying to get everyone prepared and they have sent out notices to some 4000 residents who may be in high risk areas in sonoma county. cleanup has been a slow and steady process in fire ravaged santa rosa after the devastating wildfires in october. now neighbors are dealing with another challenging bout with mother nature, rain. meteorologist expect up to one inch of rain to fall in santa rosa starting on wednesday, and that is raising concerns for sonoma officials. >> there are houses standing next to property that did her down, and in those cases, you do need to be prepared for flash flooding and mud slides. >> reporter: county crews have put in these barriers that are used for erosion control in an effort to protect property. this property owner did not

sonoma county airport and up by travis and fairfield, that's patchy. but there's thicker fog on the san mateo coast. parts of the santa cruz. that looks like a summer pattern and -- karen says watching the super blue moon from -- at least you don't have fog to deal with. the computer froze when i tried to show it earlier. san diego broke a record with a high of 83 degrees. that's warm anytime of the year, but especially at the end of the year. a little fog right there. you can see some of that and this looks like it's trying to sneak in. by sunset, you may have a little bit. it's the cut off. but for us, the patchy fog by stockton. it might be sneaking in. i don't think it won't be as much as yesterday, but it picks up after 5:30, 6:00 hour. we have mostly clear skies and there's a decent breeze off the east bay bridge. they had -- it's isolated. it's mainly in the hills and the surface is calm. 40s, 30s for some. 36 for santa rosa. 36 fairfield and a little fog there as well. also windchill with a little westerly breeze for travis. low 40s, upper 30s,
