in on some proposed changes to that stretch of road kron. 4 charles clifford is live for us now in sonoma county with details of what they want to have be different this time. >> well, you know, highway 37 here in the north base used by thousands of people every day. but this roadway is prone to flooding. it's sees real problems with congestion on a daily basis tonight, the public is going to get a look at some proposed changes to the eastern portion of highway. 37. >> right now, highway 37 narrows to one lane in each direction between mare island in vallejo and state route one 21 near the sonoma speed way on an almost daily basis. these bottlenecks create congestion in both directions that can sometimes last up to 6 hours. caltrans says it plans to improve traffic flow here by expanding the intersection of highway 37 1.21. replacing the bridge over to lake creek and adding lanes in both the east and westbound directions to help pay for this work and the long-term maintenance of highway. 37, a new tolling facility will be added here as well. with polls expected to be about $4 for drivers
