but the three sonoma county fires myers, wall bridge and glass were so intense they burned away soil absorbency it susceptible to slippage with communities downstream. there is still the potential for some type of an incident here locally, the scale of it obviously, we don't know we have to be prepared for the worst because we've been through the fires before. we know exactly what to do what to take. uh where everything is so we are prepared that way. a lot of destructive fires in sonoma county again this season, and officials hope residents check out the maps, take precautions and be prepared by signing up for alerts in case evacuations are advised. everybody is well prepared as far as our emergency services and so on and giving us the warnings and taking care of that. so uh, i feel pretty comfortable that they're on top of it. the advice just like fire season haven't evacuation plan and bag packed essentials for people and pets, including medications and phone chargers. frank those rain ready maps are based on studies showing that one inch of rain in an hour could trigger a debris

looking at the northbay it is mostly moderate rain for most of sonoma and napa counties. heavy rain over marin county's and the western arm of solano county, as well. the rain has tapered off lightly, since this care is raining heavily an hour ago, but there is just rain everywhere across the bay area. heavier rain was over the city in the bay pushing further inland towards the tri-valley, contra costa county with heavier rainfall amounts. and, there is more rain, especially in the santa cruz mountains, exactly what we have been worried about, this scenario setting up. that rain has been pushing through a rain shadow but is there enough moisture in the system to overcome that rain shadow? a lot of it can get squeezed out of the mountains and there is plenty to make its way further inland. more moisture offshore will continue surging in as we head through the rest of tonight? of course, we are concerned about the potential for flash flooding which is why we have a flash flood watch in effect for all the burn scars across the bay area. the east bay hills, diablo ridge and s

sonoma county begins its mass vaccination program today open rohnert park, the county and its medicalable to give 420 vaccinations and eventually. trying to increase that more than 2000 vaccines a day. today's clinic is for people who are at least 75 years old and i've already made appointments. the county's already worked with optimum to create a covid-19 test site. san francisco's mass vaccination side at city college is closed today and will be tomorrow as well. because of the big storm. we just had appointments will be rescheduled for right now. spots are for invitation only they could only follows the priy list released by the state. city is moving toward opening up a second mass vaccination site. it will be a mosconi center and should be able to handle 5000 vaccine today. the city is also working to open a third mass vaccination side of san francisco market in the bay view neighborhood. san francisco says it can administer as many as 10,000 vaccine doses a day but only when enough supplies arrive. the city plans to partner with pharmacies community clinics and will create a mobi
