have had a chance to cover this story for some time, we were kind of expecting this to happen a lot sooners you point out the president was over in the sunshine state of florida talking about the need to get more people to sign up for the affordable care act. and the president also had a statement out there today. this one issued by the white house. let me just share a little bit from that statement. it said that the president believes there are commonsense ways to continue to improve the aca. this includes working with the 19 states like florida that have yet to expand medicaid. keep that in mind, we'll talk a bit more about that in just a second. and insuring a choice of health insurance issuers such as through a public plan fallback option. a mouthful, i know. what that really means, my friend, is consumers would be able to compare, say, a federal health care plan with their own private plan, and if it was cheaper, they could go for that. but that would require just a few tweaks along the way. maybe a few more tweaks than the president is even willing to admit. here's what he had to say
