katz and commissioners, i am sophie hayward from the mayor's office of housing. thank you for inviting us to talk with you about the affordable housing pipeline. i am joined by teresa yonger who you know as director of development for mcd i will begin today by summarizing the mayor's housing goals, as well as the proposition k that was passed in november and presenting the recommendations of the housing working group, then teresa will provide you on an update on mcd's pipeline including the geographic distribution of sites through the city and then talk about the housing projects at the port. as you know, in january of 2014 the mayor outlined a 7-point housing plan. his goal then, as now, is to secure housing for 100 percent of san franciscoans. the plan focuses on neighborhood preservation and increased production of both affordable and market rate ownership and rental housing. specifically the plan focuses on eviction prevention, preservation of existing units, doubling down payment assistance programs for first time home buyers, revitalization of public housin
