so let me begin, first of all, with soros. now, we know that george soros was a close friend and supporter of barack obama. what we also know is that he had an important role to play in the, um, what the stimulus would look like, which industries would benefit and how it would be structured. what a lot of people don't realize, however, is that at the same time in late 2008, early 2009 that george soros was advising the administration on how to structure and where the stimulus would go, he was buying large stakes in companies that would be the exact beneficiaries of that stimulus. he ended up doing or very, very well. i won't go through the list of companies here, but suffice it to say we're talking about millions upon millions of shares of stock. just to give you a couple of examples to give you an idea of the timing, in the first quarter of 2009 he bought 1.5 million shares in american electric power. in june, just a few months later, american electric power got $1 billion in taxpayer money for an energy prompt in illinois. -
