that was on the 900 block of 83rd avenue several blocks south of hecken berger. police say a child 2 or 3 was shot in the shoulder but is expected to survive. the condition of the other victim and an dult woman is not known -- adult woman is not known. there's still no word on suspects or a possible motive. hours earlier, a little boy was grazed by a bullet standing at a bus shop. that happened at 5:30 near international boulevard and 67th avenue. investigators say that the boy was about 3 years old and he was wounded in the foot by an exchanges of gunfire with people in two cars. a man in his 20s was also wounded. both victims are expected to lib. investigators are not sure what's causing the increase in violence if it's just because of the start of summer or what. they say they've been investigating so many cases that they haven't slept in days. as of this morning, we know that police had not responded to 90 calls. the day before there were 100 outstanding. we also know that officers are just today responding to burglary calls made nearly two weeks ago. hopeful
