hamilton over the south bay as the sun rises and here's a look at a beautiful view of how the fog is ing lit by the sun rise at half moon bay. it looks stunning this morning. as you get looking live in hayes valley in san francisco and the seven-day forecast is up at the bottom of the screen. some hotter temperatures over the next few days. today is the day to get out there and get some yard work done or just spend a lot of extra time out there getting in a nice, long run. temperatures reaching into the mid-80s in morgan hills and 86 degrees in pleasanton. ward up to 74. we'll be at 63 degrees in daly city and the embarcadero a high of 65. sonoma, expect a high of 83 degrees. so as you look out the window and you're starting out getting ready for the day it will be a nice day to wear something comfortable like some short sleeves and don't forget the sunglasses even though you may not be seeing that much sun where you are right now we will get a lot of that and also if you're planning on going hiking in the north bay, some of the hiking trails there, it will be mainly sunny starting ou

you can see the morning gray skies near the cost possibly the south bay and east bay but then ut moisture frfg from the south for the filtered sunshine in the afternoon. no rainfall from this at this point but we'll be closely monitoring that doppler radar with thunderstorms likely to the south and southeast. as we head throughout the microclimate forecast and saturday let's get you a look at the first part of the weekend. we're good for least a five to 10 degree warm-up in the south bay. you'll be happy to know no 100s in couper teen orr other milpitas but certainly upper 80s and low 90s. . gilroy 99 degrees humanpy lowering as which will to 34% in the south bay. east bay a little bit of a breeze. keep us at 85 in hayward. here is the major heat, 104 in concord, hottest 103 danville and 100 in livermore. this is the spot where if you suffer from any kind of respiratory problems you need to watch out. the up healthy air quality will be here across the east bay and moderate everywhere else. the main reason it will be moderate the rest of the bay area we get this ocean breeze moving in that

in terms of that weather, a break in the south bay down to 65. peninsula 63 and mild start in the tri-valley at 70. san francisco, a little bit in the way of patchy fog at 58 degrees. for the east bay, we have 63. let's go ahead and take you through that microclimate forecast. in the south bay, not as bad. still a warm day but 87 in cuperti cupertino. we still need to watch out for the heat around morgan hill and gilroy. close to the century mark in the east bay but should slide out of the 100s. antioch, very close at 99. you can see how the temperatures start to drop as you get closer to the bay. 96 in danville. 94 in pleasanton and over towards oakland, 79 degrees. for the peninsula, 63 in half moon bay with that cooler ocean breeze in place. over to belmont, 84. palo alto, 88. you can see up in to daley city, numbers dropping to 66. san francisco, primarily 60s across the board. you can see across the engelside, 66. the marina, 64. we still may have an isolated 70-degree reading and for the embarcader embarcadero, 69. hoping to keep these tempe

in the south bay, 66 degrees in the tri-valley. saw a little bit of haze but definitely not that far. now we did see some of that fog on friday but we are clear now. north bay of 58 degrees and a beautiful day for wine tasting. i just want to share with you how quickly and how hot it is going to get in the bay area. san francisco as we mentioned, will be one of the cooler spots by 1:00. it will still be in the 60s and nice and comfortable weather. if you notice on the icon, east san jose is definitely expected to be climbing in the 80s. 81 degrees and san jose will be seen in the 90s. definitely keep those in mind. another hot spot and one of the hotter locations did hit a high of 100 degrees. 84 degrees pby 12. 1:00 at 87 degrees, we are not expecting a lot of cloud cover there. the heat advisory will expire right now at 9:00. remember to drink plenty of water. check on your elderly neighbors as well. as we continue to see high pressure sitting over the bay area right now and keeping us nice and hot and nice and dry, this is what'

in the south bay, 59 degrees. and in san francisco there it is, you can see some hazy skies and patchy fog that will start to get more dense overnight. north bay at 58 degrees and here it is, that doppler radar, you can see the fog building in. we have a marine layer keeping us cool. we have this system sits off to the pacific and that's going to keep the nice marine layer with that june gloom although it is july 1st we're keeping a lot of the fog on there. san francisco 13 miles an hour. but everywhere else at 14 miles an hour. concord, 18 miles an hour. and livermore, 7 miles an hour. not too much wind just breezier conditions. let's talk about tomorrow's highs. if you are going to be outside it's going to be a good day but it is going to be slightly warmer than today. we are expecting to see a gradual warmup on the way. cupertino, 81. morgan hill also in the 80s. concord, 86. one of the warmer spots in antioch as well. along the peninsula, comfortable temperatures as well we'll see more sunshine in the forecast

a developing story in the south bay this morning. are looking at new video that we just shot a couple hours ago. you can see the brush fire burning in the east san jose foothills. "today in the bay's" bob redell is live in the the scene just east of highway 101 with the progress firefighters have made overnight. good morning, bob. >> reporter: we spoke with calfire earlier this morning. you might recall there were evacuations. they believe those have been lifted after authorities asked people who live beyond the roadblock behind me on san philippe road to leave their homes in the east foothills of san jose. you can see this fire did continue to burn throughout the night. calfire tells us it's a 40-acre fire and it's still at 40% to 50% containment. when it started yesterday afternoon, firefighters were worried it could grow to 500 acres because the terrain is so rugged and there is a lot of fuel to burn. this winter's heavy rain storms produced a lot of grass and the recent heat dried it out, leaving the hillsides extremely flammable.

in the south bay you're seeing a lot of smoke. it's not able to go high into the atmosphere and disperse. it's just sitting right down. a little bit of fog along the coast. there's been fog the last couple of days. less fog today but temperatures in a couple of days are going to trend down, as they did today. although look at concord. it is 95 degrees right now. 87 at livermore. fairfield six degrees cooler. so that trend i just showed you should continue for the next couple of days. a little bit of haze out there. air quality doesn't look so great. you don't need the air quality district to always tell you whether it's good or bad. there's indications that the atmosphere is starting to get mucked up, which is very typical as high pressure builds in. the fog forecast, fog right offshore, temperatures tomorrow, hundreds are going south. mostly 80s and low 90s in our hot spots. that's tomorrow. so it's not going to be as hot tomorrow as it was today. certainly not as hot as it was friday and saturday of this week. 94 in vacaville. y
