south beach china basin, that is our largest subarea, and it spans a large area, largely because the mission bay planning that was in place at the time, bridges both sides, north and south of china basin channel and yet, i think that the improvements where mission bay has really come into its own, are starting to create their own subidentities where open space and the balpark, and those have been the things that have really changed the face and the public's relationship with this part of the water front, and at&t really awakened people that you can walk along and have a good time and not worry about driving and look at alternative transportation and i think that has really been helpful in our discussions and collaboration with sfmta, on the transportation improvements. and i mentioned before, that the improvements for the brandon street, wharf that met the fill removal subjects that we have with bcdc and now we are extending open space interest through the green way and through the channel through the improvements that you have seen so far with the bay, and the park that is now propos

water front and other neighborhoods have welcomed the height and the water mark is example in the south beach neighborhood, and as we moved forward. in terms of looking in terms of prop b with we need to open the die long and how to formulate, the proposals that do need to go to the vote and hers what does that process look like in the future and also, we were moving away. and particularly on the west side of the embarcadaro and there has been a lot of attention to the resilientcy and the adaptation planning and our major neighborhood scale project at 337 and pier 70 do address the sea level rise through 2100 and the fort and the sister city agencies are undertaking the planning efforts right now to look at seismic risk to the sea wall and to address the sea level rise in places like mission creek. and importantly, we are thinking that our recommendation today, is that leasing historic piers for more than 35 years, without a sea level rise strategy is no longer advisable. >> so, this is the last of our recommendations, and it really goes to what we suggest for planning going forward. we think

going down south and starting your weekend early, high surf advisory for southern california beaches 8:00 p.m. friday. los angeles county and orange county coast lines, we are expecting the waves to remain up there and a strong rip current possibility and wave heights anywhere between 6 to 8 feet. all of this being generated by tropical storm marie though it is starting to fall apart. it will continue to fall apart, and we're still keeping an eye on it because we're going to get some more clouds out of this system. remnants of marie heading in our direction, and here's what's going to happen. 5:00 p.m. tonight, fog in our beaches. high clouds start to move in for your friday, not as bright as it is today and your saturday will once again clear out by the afternoon hours so between friday and saturday morning we'll see extra high clouds from marie. upper 50s to the low 60s to start off with foggy conditions and high clouds up above for your friday morning. for your friday afternoon here's what you're looking at. slightly cooler weather in most areas. 82 in san jose and 92 degrees in g

look at this beautiful sky from our south beach cam.beautiful weather is going to continue throughout the weekend. 82 in santa rosa. 78 in napa in the wine country. 90 showing up in fairfield, livermore. the high temperature in antioch made it up to 91 degrees. there's that shadow, a nice breeze coming through. mild to warm weekend. we are looking at a setting pattern into next week, so no major swings in our temperatures. satellite radar showing you our setup. this is what we typically see, that steady sea breeze wind blowing from high to low. so the coastal areas will remain kmfr comforted by the sea breeze, by the high today. temperatures got up into the low 90s. the week ahead for livermore, toe tomorrow's high temperature coming up above 87. then we'll drop you slightly below normal into early next week and coming back up closer to avrerage as we head to the middle of next week. fog is going to be limited. low 50s to low 60s. i know kids are back in school, so some of your kids may have games in the morning. just be sure you bundle

mid 80s in concord, livermore, and a lovely view from the south beach camera looking towards the bay there. it's clear. patchy fog tomorrow. warmer thursday and friday. and a mix of sun and cloud with slightly cooler weather for your holiday weekend. no big deals in terms of major temperature changes as we hit the weekend. the clouds clear away. sunny in all areas today. as we take a look in the pacific, we are still watching a category 2 hurricane marie. now it has weakened, packing maximum sustained winds of 100 miles per hour, but it is sending up some strong southerly flow. so a high surf advisory is in effect for southern california beaches, including los angeles and ventura counties until 6:00 p.m. friday. so if you're getting away for the holiday weekend, watch out. it's going to be dangerous, especially with wave sets of 10-15 feet. they may see minor coastal flooding. in the bay area, you need to watch out. sonoma and santa cruz county, southerly swells expected to bring possible rip currents and long shore currents. watch out. those swells not something to mess around with.

and pier 40 in the south beach marina area by at&t, and down in the fisherman's wharf area and those are existing today and a fourth one is planned as part of the ex-mrortorimu., and it is an obligation for the terms of the lease to construct a facility in by the end of 2015 and i have included that as an existing facility. and in terms of where we see these opportunities between at&t park and fisherman's wharf today and we see the opportunity south of there and south of the bay son and one facility that is existing and it could be easily added, and can accommodate the water taxi is the pier 52 boat launch in the mission bay and another one, that at least as the potential is in the pier 70 area and i do have to clarify or actually correct one thing in the staff report, and i think that in the staff report i said that the concept design for the park includes a small craft launch and that is not the case, so, it has that potential, the new golden warriors arena, and the support staff has recently met and we have been talking about the possibility of constructing a ferry terminal at thi

here's my beautiful view from the south beach camera. looking out toward the bay. temperatures, 63.an francisco, oak has had 68. 73 in san jose, 81 in gilroy. some fog over san francisco from our tower camera with the high clouds up above. santa rosa is at 79. still in the 80s around fairfield and livermore, concord. the highs so far today have been in the mid 60s to low 90s. most areas, cooler than yesterday, thanks to the extra cloud cover. from our east bay hills camera, a beautiful view from those clouds moving in. and here's at look at the forecast. high clouds and coastal fog tonight. mild to warm weather, right on through monday, which is your labor day holiday. if you have the day off, weather is going to look nice here. remnants of marie heading in our direction. that's why we've been seeing all the cloud cover today. and we'll continue to see harmless high clouds going into your saturday morning. but saturday afternoon, evening, things will start to improve. so tonight, we have the fog around, clouds around up on top. and tomorrow we you'll start to notice it brightens up.
