we go farther south, there's another area with a ton of lightning moving right now into delaware. see almost hitting dover. over the bay and into south jersey, all right cutting through areas like middletown. smyrna at 5:30. and areas like -- right around 6:00, some of that heaviest rain should kip the bay. we're looking at these lines holding together. this is a powerful cold front moving through. in some areas temperatures have dropped 20 degrees. the pink that you see respect that's a severe thunderstorm watch across the entice viewing zone, because anywhere could see that storm pop. but look at the area in yellow. right now in parts of philadelphia county and through to south jersey, we have that yellow shaded area under a warning. that means severe thunderstorms are happening form the same deal over parts of delaware, it's happening and will be happening as we progress through the next half hour to hour. let's look at the temperature gradient. as i mentioned, a huge difference. this temperature an hour ago was 89, now it's 73. look at millville, 83, and atlantic city the same.

as we look at ultimate doppler we are dry, quiet, parts of the south jersey, delaware but off to the west around harrisburg, hageers town, baltimore, washington d.c. we are watching that rainfall that will push in over the next several hours. we have some tropical moisture to our south, remnant left over moisture from cindy interacting with a cold front so we will squeeze out that moisture. lets go hour by hour so once again we are dry, quiet for now, rainfall off to the west but as we time everything out we can see by eight or 9:00 a.m. we are watching that rainfall moving from the west lancaster, chester county, moving into parts of the delaware, and it continues to push through the region rapidly, mid to late morning and then we will get a break for much of the day but once again north and west, later on this afternoon into this evening will to have watch out for some scattered thunderstorms moving through and then the bull's eye of that moisture really arrives early on your saturday morning 7:00 a.m. moderate to heavy rainfall on i-95 corridor pushing into parts of the south jerse

so most of our area is now starting to get the rain moving through, aside from parts of south jersey and delawarecause of where the rain is moving in from. it's moving in from the northwest. it's dropping to the southeast, kind of clipping delaware. in wilmington, the clouds have blanketed over, this is in frawley stadium we're looking at a live camera view. we may see light showers this morning throughout this area. let's look at our radar. this is our first alert radar. the green indicating the rain that's passing through. the yellow indicateding the pockets of steadier to heavier rain. it's starting to purr off and out of our viewing zone, but it's pretty constant through berks county and the lehigh valley. pretty constant through the suburbs now, and right along the i-95 corridor, light, but passing through, breaking apart in south jersey. all of this will continue dropping out this way. we'll see rain through the morning hours in jersey and at least to the northern part of delaware. otherwise, in the afternoon, this moves out and the sunshine will return. but for now, this is what we've got

outside right now in rehoboth, not too bad down there either as we head further south down to delaware. a few folks out on the beach, lots of people outside walking on the boardwalk, shorts, t-shirts, early and often because it is warm, it is humid, cross the region. talking about what is going on , cross the upper level of the atmosphere and back down to our west, it is our system that will come through on monday and allow us to see some shower and thunderstorms. it will capitalize on the moisture that is right now sitting overtop of the region. thinks our water vapor image that shows most moist areas in the atmosphere are and right now they are across, south central and moving in the ohio river valley as our area of low pressure continues to spiral up to the north. we will kind of show you where that low is just north of the chicago. we have a warm front off to the north we have a cold front well off to the when the. in between these areas of the warm front we are calling warm sector it is warm which we will of today, humid, we will definitely have that today. while there is cloud co
