a snow plow diver in south lake tahoe found a woman alive in her car after she had been snowed in. the driver was clearing the snow covered roads when he hit the back of the car that was illegally parked on the street. the driver contacted police to get the car towed away but as they started to dig out the car, a woman stuck her hand out the window waving for help. the woman said she had been there four to five hours, but the amount of snow covering her car led officials to believe she was there longer. it took some time to get her out, but the 48-year-old was able to walk away uninjured. james ) authorities have found the body of a california man who disappeared while skiing in south lake tahoeear-old brett herrick was found about 100 feet off a groomed trail at heavenly resort. he was buried in deep snow. the douglas county sheriff's office says their search went through the night monday and into tuesday --- lasting about 18 hours.
