split going thanks to the cloud cover, strong to severe storms south of richmond and also up through philadelphia and new york where they've had a lot of warnings flying in. you probably saw some of the rain if you were watching the nats game. we got a break thanks to that cloud cover, but tomorrow i think it might be a lot sunnier and we have a little better trigger coming. that is a frontal system we'll watch come out of the northern plains. this storm prediction center has a pretty good chunk of the country and especially the midwest into the mid-atlantic under the possibility of strong to severe storms tomorrow. that front will be the trigger. it will probably be more sunshine, less cloud cover. so we know we'll have an unstable atmosphere. we will watch for showers and storms to bubble up in the afternoon. right now i'd say the best chance for strong to severe storms look like it would be from the district south in the afternoon and i think we will be looking for the possibility of some hail and damaging wind. not everybody will see it, doesn't look like a very widespread outbreak, but we'll
