is found dead inside this chinese, vietnamese restaurant in south philadelphia. philadelphia police say lee's cafe and bistro opened for business when a call came in reporting a 54 year-old woman found dead in the basement which is actually part of the kitchen there. the cops say there a appeared to be a major struggle between victim who worked as a cook and attacker and sources say victim was working with another person prepping food for people waiting upstairs when at some point someone went downstairs to see what is going on when the discovery was made, police tell us more about what they found here at the scene. >> obvious signs of the violent struggle because pieces of the kitchen equipment were actually knocked over, piece of equipment was laying on her body. she had bruises to her face, pretty severe bruises to her face and her throat was sliced pretty deeply there was a lot of blood. medics pronounced her dead at 9:15pm. >> investigators tell us five customers and four workers were inside the restaurant at the time the 911 call was made. all being intervie

this is almost gone, our crash here on 95 in south philadelphia.he northbound lanes approaching the exit for the walt whitman bridge. you can see they threw down some sand because there was a small fluid spill from the accident involving the vehicle that was facing sideways. vehicle's gone, sand is still out there as is penndot blocking those two right lanes. once you get off the girard point bridge coming north of the airport you hit a jam through this point approaching the walt whitman bridge because of that accident. headed the other way on 95 southbound we're backing up now from academy through this point at cottman again from approaching allegheny into girard with speeds in the 20's. speeds are dropping on the schuylkill as well in the 20's and 30's but no big problems over there. we do still have this crash that injured some people in cheltenham township its along ashbourne road another new second street. cheltenham avenue and tookany creek parkway better bets for you. septa's west trenton line has inbound delays of 20 minutes also the norris

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live at the crime scene. good morning, justin. >> reporter: good morning, rahel. police are looking for who ever made their way inside this restaurant, down to the kitchen, where they gashed and bashed a female cook and left her for dead last night. the crime scene investigation fanned out about this restaurant at washington avenue and randolph, calls to police came in about 9:00 on thursday night. and third district officers arrive to find a woman, age 54, dead, her neck slashed, and body bruised. she's identified as the cook here vietnamese and chinese food restaurant. police say the kitchen where she was found is in the, the din the second floor. police say the cook here put up a very fierce fight based on items found strewn about the kitchen, and one piece of equipment found a top her body. now, all of this, what's happening, police say, as the restaurant was open, and at this time police are not sure if the four other staff and five cust
