police tell us a mother and daughter were stabbed here in south philadelphia overnight a mother is now dead, daughter in the hospital and police say that the daughter's 25 year-old boyfriend considered a suspect. lets look live at the scene, investigators are holding this scene down in the middle of the block there they have a small area taped off, they have been collecting evidence, talking to eyewitnesses all morning long and they are trying to sort out exactly what unfolded here overnight. i wanting to over what we know at this point, two women stabbed here on the 2700 block of daily terrace. police say one woman a 25 year-old woman, a daughter was stabbed in the neck and taken to presbyterian by police. she's now in critical condition. second woman a 48 year-old mother was stabbed in the neck and chest she was taken to hahnemann hospital by medicine knicks critical condition and she died there at hospital. this is a homicide investigation. so investigators they are talking to, they are talking to eyewitnesses here on the scene, again, they tell us that the suspect in this case is t

it happened in south philadelphia. police are searching for the attacker who they believe is the ex-boyfriend. katherine scott received an update from police live on the 2700 block of daily terrace. what do you know? >> reporter: we did speak to police, we're hearing a mother and daughter were stabbed overnight. initially the mother when police arrived was talking to them giving them information and telling them what happened. we're hearing that she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. this happened in south philadelphia around 2:00 a.m., we're hearing the suspect is 25 years old, an ex-boyfriend who was arrested before, we don't know why, police remain on the scene as they gather evidence inside and outside the home. police say the ex-boyfriend upset about a recent break up stabbed the mother and daughter. his ex-girlfriend, the 21-year-old daughter was rushed to penn presbyterian with a severe stab wound to the neck. her 48-year-old mother was stabbed in the neck and chest. she was rushed to the hospital. when

to the breaking news coming out of south philadelphia. we understand two women have been stabbed, let's get right to the scene, jenny joyce at daily terrace, jenny? >> reporter: good morning, thomas, we're hearing one of those victims, in critical condition, the other in stable condition. police are on scene right now, investigating this double stabbing, at this point shall they're not sharing much. what we do know is that it happened a little bit before 3:00 this morning here on the 2700 block of daily terrace in south philadelphia. police say a woman in her 40's, and her daughter, were both stabbed overnight. police say the victims new their attackers, the daughter possibly around the age of 21, is list in the critical condition at a local hospital. her mom is in stable condition. yellow police tape right now is wrapped around the middle of the block, the crime scene, has even drawn people out of their home at this early hour, in the morning, trying to figure out what exactly happened. again, police are still gathering the specifics rig

it happened at the packer marine terminal in south philadelphia.
