there it is snowing in south philly. near i-95. the traffic seems to be moving just fine because of the warm roads right now. now let's take a look at the headlines. the snow melts at first. a lot of people waking up that see the snow melted on the road you think nothing's going to happen here. but eventually the roads will get slippery. and snow covered. and in some cases, that can happen very quickly. it's also going to snow for most of the day. this is not a short-term thing. so we have the combination of some rain and snow in south philly, but surrounding the area is snow. that rain/snow line is now down to millville, new jersey. so we continue to get colder. the snow is a little bit heavier up in mount airy and lower montgomery than it is in northeast philly. the darker the blue, the heavier the snow. now, we're not seeing it very heavy, even in reading area and burks county lancaster county. i would not consider that heavy snow. so we have the combination of light snow falling on a warm road. yeah, that's going to melt. but t

now you can see, the traffic is moving fine on i-95 in south philly. but the road's wet. the road's wet in the parking lots. so with the temperatures we have to monitor, possibly some icy spots. in pennsylvania 7 inches of snow in warminster. 6.5 in huffs church. 6.1 in lehigh valley. in new jersey burlington township, 6.6. lawrenceville, 5. atlantic city airport, only 0.3 at last report. in delaware not much south of newcastle county. claymont at 3 inches. newcastle itself at 1.7. glasgow, 0.8. there it is. the snow going away. it's moved out. but we have enough moisture left in the atmosphere for a little bit of drizzle. and that's why we have to follow these temperatures. places like chester springs, 30 degrees. trenton at 30. some icy spots. you have to watch out for those first thing in the morning if you get up early enough. forsham at 31. these areas that got a lot of snow will have areas with some ice. stay up or go to bed and sleep late and get up the march sun will help melt a lot of this stuff tomorrow. 32 degrees in mount holly. it's warmer farther to the sout

so this i-95 in south philly is likely to be well the visibility at least knocked down quite a bit with snow during the day tomorrow. 44 degrees and it's dead calm at the moment. the temperatures will be dropping pretty quickly once it gets dark here and as the snow moves into the colder air, all from the pennsylvania turnpike northward and a lot of snow at least percentage wise in this area in purple snow changing over to rain or a mix during the afternoon and then mainly rain farther to the south. so it's really going to depend on where you are. the temperatures are pretty uniform right now in the low to mid 40s, but that doesn't really determine whether it will be rain or snow it's how the rest of the atmosphere looks. as a matter of fact, it looks just rainy in virginia right now except for the mountain but that is all going to change as the precipitation moves into the cold air and snow starting from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and the atmosphere looks cold enough for snow. >> the ground in the low part of the atmosphere is relatively warm around 32 ore a little above and you have the f
