the reno fire department says pepper spray triggered the evacuation of a starbucks in south reno. hazmat teams responded to the store on damonte ranch after four people complained of having trouble breathing. firefighters are still investigating where the pepper spray originated from. the store will reopen later this evening. in crime beat... reno police arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery in stead earlier this week. after a brief standoff... police arrested 39-year-old wesley ford from a home in stead last night around midnight. he's charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, grand larceny and possession of stolen property. police say he entered the maverick gas station on stead and showed a handgun before taking money from the clerk. officials now say he was the one involved in an incident tuesday... as police approached his home in stead, ford allegedly stole a vehicle and fled police, resulting in 3 schools being locked down. officers thought the suspect in that incident was 19-year-old rylin wolfe-who lived with ford- but they now believe wolfe was not involved an

later that night, 55 year old sami amin picked up a fare in south reno, drove him to the 900 block of wheeler avenue, where he was shot. amin died later at a local hospital. investigators in both cities had immediate leads. a wallet belonging to 27 year old john austin orris was found in amin's cab. he was traced to an address within a block of the murder scene. within five days they had issued an arrest warrant. eight days later he was located in california where he had been arrested on unrelated domestic battery charges. meanwhile, within days their counterparts in sparks had arrested 26 year old miguel padilla and a women on the robbery case. apparently lacking sufficient evidence neither were brought to trial. and other than the obvious were never linked--until now. as orris appeared for a pretrial hearing in the murder cases it was learned he'd also been charged along with padilla for the sparks robbery and beating. a year ago sparks police said they were still looking for the the grand sierra. what, if any, role she may have played in the outcome of these parallel investigations
