( james ) the man who seriously injured a south san francisco police officer by hitting him with a skate board back in 2016 has been convicted of assault... but he was acquitted on the charge of attempted murder. the attack happened on thanksgiving day in 2016. luis ramos-coreas hit officer robbie chon in the head with a skate board. officer chon had to have brain surgery as a result of the attack. ramos-coreas will be sentenced ( darya ) a travis air force base psychologist has been convicted of sexually assaulting three of his patients. a solano county jury found heath jacob sommer guilty of seven sexual assault charges on friday. the jury found that sommer would gain the trust of his victims. one of whom was ááalreadyáá a sexual assault victim... and would engage in sexual acts with them during treatment sessions. during the six-week trail, each victim testified. some of the charges include battery and rape. sommer's sentencing is scheduled for january 25. ( james ) on the peninsula ... a pedestrian died after being struck by a caltrain in redwood city. the accident happened just before four yesterday afternoon. the train was traveling south from san franciscoto gilroy when it struck the pedestrian at the man street grade crossing. the agency said this is the 11th caltrain-related fatality this year. the victim's identity has not been released. ( james ) fremont police are on the hunt for the shooter in a deadly double shooting. we brought you this as breaking news yesterday morning. the shooting happened just after eleven tuesday night on torrington court. the victims were shot while they were driving... causing their car to crash into the side of a home. police pronounced the male passenger in the car dead at the scene. witnesses say they saw a man running away from the car... he was found nearby... also with gunshot wounds but they were not life-threatening. he was taken to the hosptial and treated for his injuries. ( darya ) new this morning... santa rosa polcie have arrested a serial robber connected to multiple bank robberies across the north bay. 37-year-old travis strickland was arrested following a traffic stop by police in santa rosa. during the traffic stop clothing was found that police say connects strickland to the robberies. the traffic stop was after the suspect held up the exchange bank on south cloverdale boulevard. santa rosa police are working with departments in ukiah.. cloverdale and healdsberg to connect evidence to bank robberies.
