today, we've had some showers and storms streaming from south to north. you can see wave after wave. it hasn't been a lot in one little instance but since yesterday, we've got areas out west like in sperryville, three and a half inches of rain. in parts of fauquier county, two and a half inches of rain from yesterday. we've had heavy downpours this noon hour, things are relatively quiet, a few sprinkles south of fredericksburg, also off to the east and the west and even in here in washington, it is drizzling, misting quite heavily in northwest. you're seeing the light green showing up. across parts of montgomery and howard counties, across carroll county, also some of those areas of mist and drizzle. as we look closer in, leesburg, if you've got drizzle now, it will pick up a little bit. this is all lifting to the north, moving up 15 from aldie coming up from 66. manassas, the heavier stuff is almost out of your area. so, we'll watch that again drift toward loudoun county. see some of the showers here inside the beltway by the american legion bridge. 66 c
