i've worked in several african countries most recently in south sudan and one of the things that i've noticed over the last few years in particular the last decade half a decade decade is that people who. pretty much don't even have a checking account i mean they're you know they're they're living on you know ten twenty thirty forty dollars a month or some cases the wealthy once a week are buying things with their cell phones they're using their cell phones as ways to transact you know i mean literally they'll just punch in some buttons and boom it happens the money transfer happens there's nothing like that to the best when all is happening in the united states or is there and if there isn't why isn't there. i mean there's the beginnings of these things there's lots of efforts at local currencies in new york there's a local currency and there's a famous one and there are some successful ones in michigan it tends to be that you know people don't want to adopt something like this while they still think they have access to real money right to the dollar you know the issue with local cur
