this 113th and south van ness. and an active scene there. there is still 160 firefighters in 60 trucks on the scene as the firefighters continue to work on this fire and make sure that it doesn't reignite. there is a lot. we talked to the family that owns one of the businesses impacted by this. they sell lumber and other wholesale construction supplies. they had a lot of flammable supplies. they don't know how it started. but the business has been for 50 years and it has been destroyed. and five other commercial buildings in the area have been heavily damaged by the fire. but the froms set they have the fire 75% contained. the progress is visible in the live picture where we have shown you of the scene. no active flames or heavy black smoke. the firefighters will remain on the scene throughout the day. they'll have another update for us at 10:30 this morning. we'll continue to post the latest information on this fire online and our social media accounts. we'll have another update at noon today. >>> they'll be dumping water on that one. >>> m

i appreciate it. >> and 10 south van ness and we feel that everything has moved in the long direction -- in the right direction which you have all recognized. we appreciate that. we do have very big concerns because we did not want this to be slowed down. there was a lot of work put in prior to you being on the board of supervisors to make sure that labor standards were going to be in all of this hub legislation which if it did not move forward, it would not be part of the way developers would get their entitlements to move forward in other areas that are there. that could be in jeopardy and i want to be clear that that is an incredible concern to us and as with as i don't understand, i mean, i know there's a lot of work that has been done and there has been a lot of work done with the community and other labor folks and constituency groups to make sure that the fees that are done and the affordable housing stuff, which is so important, with so much housing being a part of this gets moving forward. we appreciate where that is in terms of what is sounds like might be a phased movement.

ago, i saw 3 fire trucks race to this scene here this is at an industrial park on 13th between south van ness and fall. so let me step out of the way show you exactly what's going on it looks like they have made some progress that thick black smoke that you saw just a couple of minutes ago it looks like it's been and at least calm down a little bit but you can hear sirens in the background some more. >>firefighters and first responders are racing to the scene in fact let me move the camera over here you can clearly see off in the distance right there there's some lights so they are coming to it from all angles in fact, here's the san francisco police department so looks like they brought out their mobile unit as well the command center at this location so it looks like they obviously will be part. the investigation whether or not this was intentional or not you can clearly see 13th street here and i'm located at 13th and harrison you can see the signs that they have blocked this off to allow trucks from the fire department, the police department to arrive at the scene without anybody getting

again, the fire is still very much burning in the area of south van ness and erie street. these are the pictures we were able to bring you first things to a pewter that sent them to us. a look from brother way but it tells the picture of a whole lot of active orange flame on the bottom. a very thick dark column of smoke rising straight up in the air. a minute ago, c paulson said the winds are only 11 miles per hour in the area. that's what allows the smoke home to form the way that it is. that's why it's not being blown all across the city. it's essentially just rising up. this is affecting traffic on the bay bridge. this is affecting one-to-one and affecting certainly city streets in the area of south venice and erie street. and number of large businesses in the area. we saw sherwin williams and there is a couple of other big businesses, cosco etc. in the air. we're still trying to get a good read on how this fire started. but right now the number one concern -- and i know you have a lot of bodies in sf fire -- the number one concern is to protect people and property. hav

the reason for this transition is that 30 van ness was one of three assets that was sold and ordered to help finance the new one-stop permit center at 49 south van ness, which i'm pleased to say move in was started last week. so we're starting the process of occupying that building. d.p.h. was one of three units that were not scheduled to go to the 49 south van ness building because they're not permit center related. the solution then was to find new homes for those three units and new home for d.p.h. is 333 valencia. i agree with greg. i think this is a superior solution to their current home and also serves the departments quite well. the slide that you have in front of you is meant to convey two things. one, the deal points for the current deal which you will see on your right. and second, the pre-covid negotiating position that you will see on your left. consistent with the direction that we received from the board of supervisors, we have endeavored to negotiate 15% reduction in costs for any leases post covid. and we were successful in doing that in this case. pre-covid, you see the term has not changed. we're at initial term of 15 year
