the west, we will see some showers and brighter spells and a warm front starts to creep into south west walesby the end of the day. on tuesday, temperatures again 9 to 15 degrees celsius. now that warm front will track further north, west and eastwards as we head through tuesday night and into wednesday, bringing with it widespread heavy rain and some strong gusty winds as well. and some of that rain in the chillier air across the highlands will be turning to snow. just take a look at that easterly wind piling, all of that rain onshore into aberdeenshire yet again. it's windy out towards the west here. further south, we're expecting some showers, temperatures again, 9 to 15 degrees. but of more concern than the weather on wednesday is going to be the weather on thursday. now, this is storm ciaran. it's a very deep area of low pressure. you can see the tight squeeze on the isobars here. gusts of wind towards channel coast on wednesday night and into thursday could get as high as perhaps 80 to 90 miles an hour, even inland 50 to 60 mile an hour gusts. there'll also be widespread heavy rain alon

some of that wet weather really totting up through parts of eastern scotland and across parts of south waleswith flooding in the coming days. on wednesday, the overnight rain will clear first thing away from the south—east, then some sunshine through the midlands and wales, extending its way towards east anglia. cloudier conditions across the north of england, certainly through scotland, with outbreaks of rain pushing in through angus and aberdeenshire, coming in off the north sea there. variable cloud and some brightness for northern ireland. but through wednesday evening and night, a weatherfront bringing outbreaks of rain here, in towards parts of wales and towards cumbria, in towards the midlands by the end of the night. so we're left with that band of rain from around sort of liverpool to london as we start the day on thursday. so to thursday. and once again it is unsettled. we've got that broad area of low pressure out to our west, bringing weather fronts and rain our way, and winds just beginning to strengthen on its southern flank as well. so through thursday, we've got the overnight
