i'm along highway southbound 680. you can see the traffic going southbound right here. there will be three entry and three exit points. you're looking at one of the entry points here. washington boulevard exit. the new expressway lane replaces the carpool lane on southbound 680 between pleasanton and milpitas. a 14-mile stretch. it operates between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. monday through friday. carpoolers will be able to use the lane for free as well as motorcycles, transit buses and highway vehicles with valid stickers but solo drivers can use the lane with fair fas trak pass. only three entry and exit points and illegal to get out anywhere but those designated spots. >> there's certain spots you're not going to be able to exit those lanes to get to a particular exit. you're going to have to exit out of the expressway lane a little sooner prior to the exit you wanna take. >> there are signs about a half mile prior to these access points that will alert drivers to the coming entries and exits and how much it will cost for each segment. the price will rise and fall depending o

this again is southbound 101 in salinas.e're told first reports came in around 6:07 and there was only one person on board the helicopter. we are now hearing that person is not seriously injured but the chp says they are dealing with fuel from the chopper that's spilled on to the road. again, a helicopter has crashed on 101 in salinas blocking all the southbound lanes near airport boulevard. we have a crew on the way. we'll continue to bring you updates as we get them. on the peninsula federal officials begin investigating what caused a small plane to crash in the lagoon killing all three people on board. one of the victims was 92-year-old bob boreman, a bay area businessman and world war ii veteran. the plane had just taken off. before any help could arrive, kayakers and people on shore rushed into the water to try to help. >> three people on the shore jumped in, swam as close as they could. there was a lot of gas, fuel so they couldn't get right up close to it. >> officials say the bodies of boreman and the pilot are still

another accident at white marsh boulevard, 95 southbound has been cleared as well. harford road, oh man, if it's shiny, then it is slick. take it easy. traffic moving pretty well on the northeast side, although the speeds are down all around the area because of the wet conditions. as we look right now at our maps and such, we have several incidents we're working, reports of flooding and high water in middle river. eastern boulevard and martin boulevard and just a reminder, if you see high water, do not attempt to drive through the high water, you don't have an idea of how deep it actually is. you could get stuck or worse. we have a crash involving a police cruiser on the ramp getting onto the jfx that does block one lane and one lane is able to get by. our big accident of the morning on the eastbound lanes of i-70 closed between the patapsco river bridge and route 29 because of an overturned tractor-trailer. the tractor-trailer has been uprighted. state police have pushed back the time they anticipate reopening route 70 until 8:00 a.m. keep that in mind. all traffic
