you've got reliable computers taking it to southeast texas. others bringing it in, running it up the east coast of the state. there's a huge range and for me to pick one or the other at this point, kind of irresponsible. we have to keep a close eye on this. if it takes a path to the south into the gulf, obviously impacts on our area would be minimal. south florida would get the storm into record warm temperatures of the gulf and that's another scary setup in itself. next couple of days will tell the tale what's going to happen with the disturbance and at this point, it is still just a disturbance so scattered afternoon storms for us with a rain chance of about 40%. tomorrow we are once again back around 92 degrees with more late day storms and until the system approaches the state, and we're talking about sunday, monday, tuesday, not even talking about the next three chances are going to stay close to normal. 40% to 50% for friday and for saturday, maybe 60% on sunday. >>vanessa: all right. right now we have a better look at an update on the c

we have tropical moisture and the flooding is not over for the florida panhandle, southeast, texas. look at the estimated precipitation since tuesday. over 30 inches of rain. as we reported most of that rain coming in a matter of hours and people are caught off guard. hearts and prayers. listen to the warnings of the firms. there is the bulls eye there. over 31 inches of rain fuel. you remember parts of houston saw rainfall. fontal boundary in place. maybe 6 to 12 more inches through tuesday. so we are dealing with the showers and thunderstorms in the forecast really for the next five to six days. forecast precipitation through wednesday. look at this. maybe 6 to 10 inches from texas stretching into the florida panhandle. this is not a hurricane or tropical storm. it is a stalled frontal boundary where this tropical moisture is riding and where we'll see the potential for heavy rainfall across the gulf coast but the ohio valley, mississippi valley. flood advisories are posted here. these areas are certainly satura saturated. back to you. >> very concerning. thank you so much. we'll

and you'll see that southeast texas is dealing with more rain than southern louisiana. in the coming days, they could see a couple of inches that's not welcomed by any means but we're not talking about a repeat because of that rain. we have heavier rain this morning, actually through southern portions of illinois, indiana and ohio where we have overrunning near the frontal boundary. i want to show you an example why the rivers are a problem. it's near lafayette, one of the crest stage is right about here. flood stage, minor flood stage is 10 feet. that means in a major flood stage, at least a couple of feet and it all has to come down in coming days. early part of the work week, it's going to take time for the water to recede. locally we'll be watching the eastern sky for some storms after we scour out low clouds, it should be a decent tart to the day with increased sun. here are some scattered clouds in notice a little rippling from the east wind so somewhat breezy by the bay first half of the day. 79 in new tampa. 78 in st. petersburg. it's 78 in palm harbor. low 70s
