another area of low pressure developing there in southeastern china. especially south of the basin, you'll be looking at the heaviest rainfall, 100 to 120 millimeters in some localized areas. the three-day forecast, northeastern china, from 5 all the way up to 14 on your thursday. sapporo, a little bit of a rebound at 13. if we look into tokyo, a little chilly on tuesday. a high of only 15. you might want to have your jackets with you. but it starts to rebound by the time thursday comes around. unfortunately you do have the rainfall. it will be working its way into the picture. already dominating most of southeastern china. in the south, if you want to go somewhere warm, how about down to thailand. bangkok with a high of 37 there on your tuesday. let's now move over here towards the americas. severe weather threat out here. one location, 35 across northern texas, all the way through mississippi. 35 reports of hail. and at one location, tennis ball-sized hail out there. causing significant damage. you still have the threat through the rest of your monday

where that storm system is developing is actually back here towards the west and southeastern china. you will be looking at a chance of locations 100 to 150 millimeters over the next several days. a threat of flooding and the last thing you need is more rain fall. actually, the same storm that impacted japan over this past weekend, also rode through this area and brought rather severe weather. i want to show you video where a tornado hit this area, rather severe storm system. 250 homes were damaged. the damage is estimated to be $4.2 million in total and over 35 crops and people lost power, definitely severe storm system. the good news is that no casualties were reported but the last thing you need is another bout of more rough weather out there and that looks to be the case throughout tuesday into wednesday before that shifts off there towards the east. do want to talk about the tropical system over here towards the west, as well, off the northern coastline of madagascar. very intense tropical cyclone which is continuing to linger here. the big thing with this storm system, it is sl

we're talking about the rainy season boundary down toward areas like southeastern china. as we go forward in time, it will move to the northeast. a low pressure system will develop, it will pick up all of the moisture as it continues to develop. the main focal point of the rain will be into the korean peninsula. but as the warm sector of this particular system moves to the north and east, kyushu, you will be dealing with the rainfall late saturday into sunday. so not only are we seeing heavy rain, we are seeing strong winds and thunderstorms and floods along with the landslides. all of these come together in this particular scenario. you can see the intensity of the rain that's going to fall. the purple indicates the higher rate of rainfall and because of the ground and how it is loose, the japan meteorological agency has altered the criteria of heavy rain advisories and warnings in preparation for the potential of these landslides. notice the numbers have dropped significantly. the minimal boundary now is at 42 millimeters of rainfall per hour when it comes to heavy rain
