the good news, though, for a lot of us that are living down in southeastern mass, the cape and the islands, the winds today not nearly as power yesterday. still a tropical storm warning in effect, but again, the winds really subsiding overnight and they'll continue to be similar today and tomorrow. this storm is buried to the south and west of us. it will move very little over the next several days. in fact, this is a two to three-day look here. it's looping around before it finally gets off to the east of it's still sitting south of us. notice that thursday morning forecast, winds of 40mph sustained near the center of circulation. i think we'll be hard pressed to see many gusts past 30 or 40 over next couple days compared to the 50 to 60-mile-per-hour gusts that we had yesterday. so the wind not as strong today. over next couple days dealing with a patchy mist and a few showers working in, especially today. look at the peak gust right across the islands pushing 60, st vineyards to nantucket. the winds off the islands not quite as strong. rockport at 45mph. boston at 38. we'll have more on

temperatures for highs in the 80's in southeastern mass, doesn't sound all that hot. we've had much worse this summer for sure. even some 70's inland. the farther you got away from the southeastern part of the state, the cooler it was. now, there was more sun up here, so it got hot again, farther to the north and wells. the clouds are in and out of the area. dewpoints, which are in the 60's to near 70, definitely makes it feel a little warmer out there. it gets hotter the next couple of days, when this storm finally leaves us alone. that's what's left of hermine and it still looks really impressive on satellite imagery. it looks better to me today than it did last night when i was talking to you the clearly moving off to the northeast. whatever is left of this storm will come right near nantucket during the day tomorrow, and then finally, eject out of here, finally, leaving us with still tracking a couple of showers, spinning around that large circulation, an even a couple of heavier showers, taunton to middleboro and in blackstone as well. i'll keep tracking what's ou
