the good news, though, for a lot of us that are living down in southeastern mass, the cape and the islands, the winds today not nearly as power yesterday. still a tropical storm warning in effect, but again, the winds really subsiding overnight and they'll continue to be similar today and tomorrow. this storm is buried to the south and west of us. it will move very little over the next several days. in fact, this is a two to three-day look here. it's looping around before it finally gets off to the east of it's still sitting south of us. notice that thursday morning forecast, winds of 40mph sustained near the center of circulation. i think we'll be hard pressed to see many gusts past 30 or 40 over next couple days compared to the 50 to 60-mile-per-hour gusts that we had yesterday. so the wind not as strong today. over next couple days dealing with a patchy mist and a few showers working in, especially today. look at the peak gust right across the islands pushing 60, st vineyards to nantucket. the winds off the islands not quite as strong. rockport at 45mph. boston at 38. we'll have more on
