here locally we have winter storm warnings up for southeastern massachusetts and a blizzard warning up here for martha's vineyard. this goes until the overnight hours. as you get closer up toward boston, there will be some snow south of the pike with the winter weather advisory here. here's the thing. take a look at the radar right now. looks like it is snowing across it is not. you can see how we go from white to the darker blue. visibility still near 10 miles in bridgeport connecticut and white plains have dropped to a mile so it takes a while for us to overcome this dry air and moisten up the atmosphere enough to get the snow to come down. it is this band right here, this darker blue color is really the leading edge of the snow. over the past couple of hours notice how it's not really moved north ward. it will be a very slow process to get that snow in here today. much of your saturday around the boston area is dry. may start to get snow on in here. you can see south of boston by noontime we're start to go bring that snow into the south coast, cape and the islands but it will be unt
