again, major flood threat down here in southeastern texas. i mentioned earlier, the hurricane center is using words like catastrophic, life-threatening, devastating, you choose the will not be great over the next several days obviously. 20 inches of rain plus and then outside of the bull's eye you're talking one foot of rain to maybe up to two feet of rain before it's all said and done and we use 20 inches plus. they're projecting 40, 45 in isolated conditions, there could be a couple of spots before all said and done 50 inches in one spot and it runs off and creates mayhem after that, watch how the storm is drifting, barely moving the next couple days, that's why there will be so much in the way of rain and flooding down here all this available moisture is coming up from the gulf of mexico. as a matter of fact the hurricane center forecast only has it in the eastern texas by wednesday, several more days of this rain and flooding, of what is still tropical storm harvey is slow so move out. it may sit and dissipate. here's 80 here, nice today,

let's talk about harvey down in southeastern texas came onshore last night, the first category four hurricane to hit the united states in 12 years. here's corpus christi she had a tremendous storm surge, waves up to 25 feet. we had a surge of ten to 1 feet. you add the waves on top of that you're talking about 30-foot wall of water. in corpus christi we're talking about the flooding and the rain. colored cloud tops, the take away, the heaviest storm is indicated by the reds. storm tracker 6 live we set it in motion is for you. there's corpus christi there's the eye it is drifting about here, moving ever so slowly to the northwest at 6 miles per hour. we turned our buoys on here. right now there's a buoy report where winds are up to 74 miles per hour that's the ocean temperature, sustained at 55 gusting to hurricane force 74. the big problem, the jet stream or the storm track is up to the north. we have a blocking high to the west, there's another blocking high over my shoulder, so the storm pretty much has nowhere to go, the result will be this. over the next several days we'll do a loop d lo

tropical storm harvey has been meandering all weekend through southeastern texas. g closer to the coast. it will get off the coast anne do a u-turn and head toward memphis, tennessee by friday or saturday. looks like it will be out of texas by sometime wednesday or wednesday night. the new track has the most likely scenario anyway of that storm being east of houston that would take the strongest rain bands away from houston, which would be good. it's going to be a slow move to the south and then to the north. somebody will get hammered with an additional 15 to 25 inches of rain in texas before it dissipates farther inland. that means more flooding and as i mentioned a little while ago, houston has historic flooding down there. our next issue is tropical storm erma. this comes by us tomorrow, it will be far enough away to give us light rainfall, but it is pushing that swell in on the coast and we have the rip currents already high risk today and tomorrow and maybe wednesday. 78 is the high, sun to clouds, no problems away from the beach. tomorrow, cloudy and rain, es
