these will be mainly just some light showers in southern brevard county county, maybe a sprinkle elsewhere between 7:00 and 9:00 tonight. the big about guns are back here to the west, though, this is a do have a couple of tornado watches and the most recent one in effect west of tallahassee through 10:00 tonight. more than likely, if these storms hold together, one report of a tornado out of this, probably extend this watch across the northern portion of the state, possibly into marion, flagler county, maybe until 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. i do expect this to weaken as it approaches. because it will be moving into more stable environment overnight tonight. but any time we get storms like this, in an el nino pattern, we know from the history, that we can get storms overnight that can produce some damage. we're going to watch this carefully. 6:00 tonight, the showers mainly offshore tonight. otherwise, pretty quiet here through around midnight. monitoring the progress of this line of storms back here to the west. and it looks like rain moving in to the western zones, nearing orland by 3:00 o'clock -

beach, you're not going to get much rain, but again, here's the main area now, moving in. southern brevard county, you have another one to two hours, worth of scattered showers. here's where the rain came down heaviest in the green. and the darkest darkest green in southwestern county. 2 inches plus. 75 in melbourne, and only 51 up in gainesville. this is a legitimate cold front. degrees colder in the villages, and back up to gainesville. the winds are swinging around to the west, northwest, here comes the cooler, and drier weather. 61 degrees now, and it'll cool off quick tonight. if you have the windows open, wake up at 4 a.m. and you'll close them. south. much cooler temperatures expected now as we go through the upcoming weekend and a few light showers, still possible for saturday, i'll show you the model here in a bit. 68 in tampa, and 46 up in pensacola. look at the clearing now. in the panhandle, this will swing through, late tonight and by sun up tomorrow, it'll be in good shape. 2 in the morning, lingering shower, and winds out of the north and pick up the day tomorrow. breezy at times,

brevard county. we have the original warning in effect for southern orange. a little bit of brevard county just for another three minutes. this is where the rotation will be moving. another seven or eight minutes. shuttle landing, the storm should be there about 10 minutes before 5:00. we are anticipating because this has intensified a little bit, this will hold together as it goes into northern brevard county. there is sharks, cocoa, merritt island, a lot of colors. we like to look inside these storms. instead of seeing the rain, the reds are the heavier rain showers. green are lighter rain showers. we look at this product, the velocity. doppler radar picks up. when you see the greens in the reds, it indicates there is spinning. here are some of the streets showing where this storm is if you are in this zone, you need to be inside, away from doors and windows. most of central florida does not have basements. be in a safe place in case there is a tornado. even if there is not a tornado, there is a lot of wind. reports of 40 to 50 mile per hour straight line wh
