we have been talking about this a few fires in southern california. of course, this is the one in ventura and we are just learning about these evacuations that have been ordered at a neighborhood. this is 50 miles west of los angeles. a university is also being evacuated. so far, four residents have burned in the grassfire. that also prompted the evacuation of a elementary school in the area, as well. we're covering fires all over the state from northern to southern california. >> it quit raining at the beginning of the year. and it was the driest period on record. not only that the snowpack at only 23% measured today. so not good for a water supply. if you love sunshine and heat, you will love the day today. a lot of sunshine, it's hazy because of the fire. some of the smoke in the north bay as temperatures soar already. in fact, it's 81 degrees in concord. 83 in livermore. 80 san francisco, 83 in san jose. we are expecting a hot afternoon. heat advisory in effect in a few minutes. it look mild but then we have major changes coming for the weekend. t
