that is southern delaware and extreme south jersey including cumberland county and shore points. few storms firing up to the south right now, philadelphia is not seeing much of anything. keep an eye on these showers and storms near baltimore but worst to the south where dew points are high. dew points in the 07's. they have moisture to work with. this particular storm just up and across sussex county delaware, further south across maryland and bay we have strong storms as well. these storms will move east through tonight and may not exit completely until two or 3:00 in the morning. in south jersey, delaware even overnight there could be rumble of thunder and flash of lightening. ninety at airport. eighty-four in allentown. down the shore, temperatures 90 in cape may. ninety-two in row rebeach right now, 88 in stone harbor and 82 in ocean city. our high so far today 91, that makes it why it day in the 90's. normal high 87 degrees and that takes us to 22 days in the 90's so far this year. that beats last years 19 and 2013 as well, and the gold standard really 2010, 55 days in the 9

we have one shower here in maryland headed toward portions of southern delaware. otherwise it is a really dry weather map out there. as we go through the afternoon, we're into the upper 80s. you see hardly a cloud in the sky out there. we have some delightful weather coming. as we go through the night tonight, you see temperatures going down into the 50s in parts of the area. well, this is erika, formed last night. 45-mile-an-hour winds. moving west at 20 miles an hour. it is a threat to the northern caribbean and potentially the bahamas. it is expected to strengthen somewhat, but there are a lot of questions about how much it might strengthen even though the track seems fairly certain, at least in the general idea of the track. for the rest of the day around here, we'll be seeing lots of sunshine. high temperatures getting into the upper 80s, low humidity. the humidity is going to keep going down every hour. as we go stlut seven-day, not quite as warm tomorrow. lower humidity. similar story for thursday and friday. then it starts to heat up as we go through the w

, here comes, according to one computer model through our area, it start raining actually in southern delawares evening and then this model has some really heavy rain moving in specially far southern new jersey, southern delaware through the bull's eye there, in the middle of the low pressure system kind of moving in tomorrow, specially in the morning unfortunately, for the jersey shore, than one has philadelphia included before everything moves off shore. all of the models do have things clearing out pretty nicely for the weekends. here is another one that has the rain skipping philadelphia tomorrow morning. but, still raining, at the shore, and down in delaware, as well, and clearing out little sooner on friday than the other models with maybe just some clouds and left over shower through early afternoon in philadelphia. so again, by saturday and sunday we should be okay. but it might get little drippy, at the shore tomorrow morning. so, bob kelly has been warned about that. 52 degrees up in the mountains, 61 in pottstown 71 degrees here in philadelphia and 64 in trenton. we have 64 in atlan

southern delaware extreme southern new jersey could see a shower or thunderstorm later on during the day. most of the day is dry air and the entire day is dry on wednesday because the atmosphere really dries out then. then it starts to cool off. in the tropics, the only thing in the atlantic tropics to be watched is in the northeastern gulf of mexico and that may be going on to land and tampa has been clobbered with rain as a result of that. much of the atlantic basin is just incredibly dry and likely to stay that way. just as we hit the peak months of hurricane season, at least historically. more humid with a shower chance tonight. 74 for the low in philadelphia. during the day tomorrow hot, a little bit more humid. nothing too oppressive but chance of a shower or thunderstorm south and east. another day where we could get to 90. and wednesday, definitely less humid. a lot less humid. and thursday cooler and low humidity. you want relief you're getting relief but you also may get heavy rain toward the end of the week and maybe into the beginning of the weekend. >>> breaking news rig

early tomorrow morning, we could still see some rain along parts of delaware mostly southern delaware and possibly in new jersey closer to the shore. that will be the better rain chance. here's a bigger picture. future weather showing the area of low pressure off to the south and west gets closer late tonight and into friday. that area of low pressure is expected to stay south of us which will put the best rain chances south of philadelphia. for new jersey and delaware, through tonight and into the day tomorrow, you have the best chance for showers, especially along the shore and delaware beaches. saturday morning, the low will be right offshore but the models have improved a bit. they agreed a little more today with pushing the low a little farther offshore for saturday morning which means more clearing closer to the shore and delaware beaches. for sunday that low moves away and we see improving conditions. along the jersey shore, if you're starting off your weekend tomorrow, we will see clouds and the better chance of scattered showers. saturday we start to see things drying out but

you can see most of the heavy rain is continuing to trend central southern delaware as well as down thehore. here's friday about 11:00 we're still looking at most of the clouds and showers south and east of i-95. it looks pretty good. the farther north and west you are away from the city. so take look at one computer model forecast showing may be up to 210ths of an inch of rain in philadelphia. higher amounts closing on an inch maybe an inch and a half once you move into kent county. cumberland county as well as cape may and down the shore. so friday looks kind of damp and dreary. windy as well. a little bit of rain could linger into the first part of the day on saturday down the shore. otherwise staying breezy temperatures right around 80 degrees saturday and sunday down the shore. thursday, 86 degrees. sun to clouds. then friday watching for some rain heavy especially south and east. rain tapers early saturday. 84 in the city. on saturday. 85 on sunday. then some scattered showers thunderstorm chances early next week. so right now, it looks like the heaviest rain and highest impact wi

now it's more of a new jersey and southern delaware issue and that, as a result has let us have to updates our flood advisory. it just happened. we just didn't have the time to switch this up. but you can see how the green has now migrated from where it was over new castle county in the southern tier of the i95 quarter through our area, and moving off to the east and follows the rain. you're going to run into pond opening the roadways, poor drainage flooding. all of that good stuff you always tend to have heavy bouts of rain like this come through. we also are sitting in the lowest risk for severe weather today, marginal risk. generally expecting here heavy downpours with thunderstorms that fire up this afternoon, gusty wind and certainly frequent lightening. definitely not the worst case scenario of severe weather potential for us, but it's enough that it's something we'll have to keep a very close watch on. especially if we get any kind of daylight or sunlight. went there will be a little bit of it. bid of mid day break, temperatures noted at best middle part of the afternoon schultze on

we are in the mid 70s in southern delaware and atlantic city right now. with the wind coming onshore, it can't really warm up much beyond this, mid 70s, the ocean temperature in the mid 70s. here are the sprinkles, not much more than sprinkles anymore now. you can see in montgomery county into the philadelphia area so not going to be getting rained on very hard over the next couple of hours. you can see, that's the first rain of the day getting into some sections of philadelphia. some of this is hard and in the reds, that's heavy rain, big thunderstorms there, that whole system is moving in our direction. we can track it hour by hour. we are going to 10:00 tonight, there's practically nothing there. as we go past marylaidnight, yo see quite a bit of bright colors. that means heavy rain. we are getting downpours out of that, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 in the morning, maybe localized flooding in poor drainage areas. this continues to move east so by 6:00 a.m., the heaviest of the rain is across much of the area. it's past much of the area. right along the shore, we a
