cloudy out there even snow and rain moving into southern delaware. it's going to hug to the south of us and then it's going to get little push up to the north and that's when we'll start to see that snow move in. let's take look at that on future cast. i also put those temperatures on there so we can see why this is not just a snow event but it could end up as a mix as we head through the afternoon. overnight temperatures in the 20s and 30s. the snow really doesn't get going until we head through the late morning and into the afternoon first arriving out west in lancaster and into philadelphia. wilmington getting some of that snow. millville notice those temperatures again some areas could be a bit above freezing. could fall as snow but also a chance for mix and that could create slippery roadways just be aware of that. especially through the afterno afternoon. into the evening this does continue and again you can see those temperatures a few areas above freezing. mount pocono is expected to get some snow but not that much accumulation kind of missin

southern delaware and extreme south jersey has the best chance of snow. and if some of that does come up, that could lead to a little bit more accumulation than what the models are showing now. here is the one model showing pretty much a generalized inch or so out of the first system, thursday night. maybe up to 2 inches in a couple of spots. and then by sunday you see we're adding some snow to south jersey. that's from the saturday system. when you combine the two, it's obviously not big storms that we're dealing with. we haven't had much snow this season. as we go through the night tonight, watch the temperatures. okay. they're going down into the 20s. quaker town 24 degrees by awe 5:30. then it doesn't go up much during the day. it's 25 at 10:00 a.m. it's 29 at 2:00 p.m. in philadelphia it's 33 degrees. so it is a very cold day tomorrow. especially compared to what we have seen today. and as far as the chances for snow, just about everybody has got a chance early, early friday and then on saturday the best chance is the jersey shore. and in delaware. >

some spots in far southern delaware reporting over a foot of snow. we'll get to that in just a second. here is a look at your philadelphia neighborhoods if you're stepping out the door. 17 right now at center city and kensington at 16. 14 for west moun nary and fox chase at 16 degrees. the radar and satellite view, no snow to track right now. in fact, we're actually fairly clear out there which will lead to a stark, sunny condition. we will see the potential especially in the lehigh valley and suburbs. very isolated and light. the poconos with the best shot. as we go to the afternoon, this may extend down to our area. let's talk snow totals. this is a look at delaware. as i mentioned, 13.5 inches. far southern delaware. lewis beach at ten inches, dover a little over five. claymont at about 2.5 inches. mays landing at 18 inches. a half foot as well for gloucester township as well as williamstown. mt. holly at 5.9 inches. today the snow will stay on the ground because we stay so cold. feeling like this morning, single digits below zero. look as we go t

we're looking at for expected snow the heaviest amounts will be right along the coast southern new jersey, delawareto 6 inches including southern kent sussex county, cape may county southern parts of cumberland county and burke one to 3 inches for the majority areas in central new jersey and northern parts of delawarely. philadelphia we're right around that inch mark, inch and a half maybe and then just a coating to maybe an inch once you head north and west of philadelphia and then again north of the turnpike really nothing to speak of. then wind chills, they're also a going to be factor. even if you don't see the snow. feels like 14 tomorrow afternoon in allentown, 12 philadelphia, nine in millville. as we get into sunday morning, wind chills only at one below in reading, five in philadelphia, one in millville so some bitter air comes in with this storm and behind it. as we take a look at the four day at 4:00 forecast here, tomorrow snow along i-95 to the south and east. again, the heaviest along the shore. that fluffy snow which they could see up to 6-inches again right along the beaches and the

afternoon the storm is producing snow, to the south and east of philadelphia, mostly southern two counties of delaware and the southern counties of new jersey, as well, you saw with millville, steve keeley and rehoboth and bethenny getting snow n ocean city maryland it has been rain with the milder air moving off the ocean, and we have got cape may county, parts of atlantic county, right there millville we can see that bright white means the snow is steady, and with those light accumulations everything continues through about eight or nine, maybe even 10:00 in the morning. but by lunchtime for sure we have sunshine probably earlier in philadelphia trying around this evening, and then we will see a burst of snow. don't be surprised because this is widely scattered but we will have light snow showers, as the exit strategy for that storm. the then things get interesting tomorrow morning with the possibility of some snow, rolling in six or 7:00 from the west, not the sticking around too long and then eventually after a little bit of the break changing over to rain. this is mostly a northern event, separat

some places, like southern delaware, saw close to 10 inches of snow. good evening, i'm dawn timoney. >> i'm joyce evans, the snow has tapered off in philadelphia, but parts of south jersey, delaware, are not in the clear, not yet. we have live team coverage, our sabina kuriakose is in souse jetty tonight. and meteorologist, monica client and kathy orr are tracking the storms, let's start with kathy tonight with a look at what's on the radar right now. it has been crazy day. >> still a lot of white on the radar, joyce. look at this, the evolution of the storm, and as it moved through over the past 12 hours, huge chunk of real estate and believe it or not in virginia beach a blizzards warning, the snow has exited the mid-atlantic, ends in the philadelphia, you can see it rapidly winding up down the shore. right now, some snow showers still in burlington county, atlantic county and in ocean county, new jersey, this shows you right now, right along the coast, heading through new york and also new england, still seeing that last band of snow and ending else

the snow starting in southern delaware just right on schedule and you can see the bands of heavier snowoing from southwest to northeast and the farther north and west you got in the area the less snow there was which was pretty much what we've been saying for quite a while. this is the actual snowfall map. notice it looks like a lot like the map we put on last night when we shifted those higher amounts toward the north and west and let's get little bit more specific here. in delaware, oceanview, 13 1/2, shelbyville 13 but farther to the north and west of delaware much, much less. similar story in new jersey but there are parts of the area like erika showed that had over eight inches of snow. atlantic city officially 5.5, mt. holly about six and in philly airport, three, the next three days, look at these low temperatures. everything's frozen. it's going to stay frozen until at least tuesday afternoon. you're not going to get much help with melting here but a mix of rain and snow and maybe a little ice in the lehigh valley late tuesday or tuesday night with that next system. a bitter col

snow, especially south jersey, we saw 10 inches, enclose to us at 15, in parts of the, extreme southern delawareair temperatures 18 in stone harbor. the teens over in most of the shore points, and when we factor in the win it feels like one in allentown, millville and zero in dover delaware and atlantic city airport on exposed skin. we will be battling harsh wind chills throughout the day. the it may get up to ten this afternoon. so if we are outside to clean up the snow a little bit at least we have fluff i powdery snow to deal work brush off the car with no problem. snow is sticking around with temperatures like. that we should see some melting because we have clear skies, so the sun will be out and exposed areas of snow will melt but it retreeses again tonight, and we will see, black ice, again, throughout the morning and again tomorrow morning, with untreated surfaces. things could be worse. back in 1996, the weekend was blizzard of 96 where we had 30 n philadelphia, after those storms, for the city, and it was a blizzard. four or 5-foot drift. it wasn't even born yesterday, for rahel. that

southern delaware and wild, new jersey. it wants to keep the snow close to the coast by 9:00 a.m. and through the afternoon and it clears after that. there are some model projections that bring a light coating of snow up to philadelphia. the question of what we're talking about tomorrow is whether it is a big impact event or just a small event, it is uncertain because the models are not clear how close to the coast they went to bring it. there's a threat of a nor'easter and coastal storm with winds coming in off the coast. some momgdzs have two -- models have two inches of snow down the shore, other models closer to 6 inches. we might get an inch up to i-95. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, clouds and sun, 34 degrees. tomorrow, 29 degrees, more snow east, it could hug the coast and stay down the coast and not be all that much or be more significant at the coast in that case we get light snow up closer to philadelphia. sunday, brisk, feeling like the teens and 28 degrees. monday, cold, 31. finally on tuesday afternoon we get milder, there could be a flurry or snow show
