mostly focused south over southern delaware, creeping into cumberland, cape may, atlantic counties. have spots picking up across delaware county and into philadelphia next up in line. almost to south philly as we speak. let's take a closer look and freeze frame some of what we see on the radar. the areas are sweeping the area, the steady rain to the north, this is a pocket of heavier rain slicing through montgomery county. that drops into delaware county. these are areas where a crack of thunder or maybe lightning is possible. i don't think lightning is a major threat. more isolated shower potential. this is southern delaware into kent and sussex county. you see heavier rain. cape may getting a good dose. this will continue through the morning hours. not constant, you may not be seeing any rain unless you miss out. throughout the day, we'll have periods of rain moving through, especially south jersey. looking at the best shot. temperatures now are mostly in the low to mid 70s. that's where they will remain through the day. not going to see much change in the temperatures. from 7:00

the morning commute, you could run into showers, particularly in southern delaware. isolated showers along pennsylvania suburbs and parts of the lehigh valley and berks county. you see on radar and satellite, fairly light rain just into the west of us. more steady rain just to the south of us that's starting to move into sussex county. the deeper green not necessarily flood inducing, but we're seeing more steady rain for areas like seaford to millsboro and parts of the delaware beaches. we'll talk about the plan for today. starting in philadelphia, 67 this morning, rising up into the mid 70s. this still is warmer than average. this time of year, upper 60s the average high. so morning conditions would be typical. we're going warmer than that. we're also looking at scattered showers that are in the forecast, like i mentioned. not only isolated showers this morning but more scattered, steady rain that will pop up in the afternoon, evening hours, right on into thursday. your suburbs, 62 degrees, 6:00 a.m. cloudy to mostly cloudy, 2:00 in the afternoon, rain rolling by. 7

everybody's 65 degrees in southern delaware. there's rain right along the jersey shore and some of the delaware beaches. it's light. coming in off the ocean. you can see the direction some of those clouds are moving. and so this little disturbance will be moving up during the night. that's when our best chance of rain is over the weekend. and we do have a chance of a shower for the temple game tomorrow, but it's probably less than 30% that there will be any rain. the temperatures, right around average, a little bit above average for this time of the year. not a whole lot of wind either. decent football weather. we've got that east wind, the showers to the south. they're going to be moving up through the area as we go through the evening. so, again, the best chance of rain all weekend is coming tonight. the east wind continues on saturday, yes, still there. but we may get some sunshine here. we get some breaks in the clouds in the afternoon. that allows the temperature to go up above 70. and then on sunday, the wind starts turning

some clearing though through central and southern delaware during the day and just a few spotty showers afternoon. now the big story of course is nate. now tropical storm bringing devastating flooding torrential rain to areas like nicaragua, honduras and also costa rica with fatalities have grown to about 20 people or more because of the flooding associated with this rain. the storm is forecast to continue the track toward the north northwest at 10 miles an hour. 40 miles an hour sustained winds. it is expected to cross the yucatan at cancun and make landfall between louisiana and also alabama and then move toward the northeast very quickly. i mean this is going to fly. imagine makes landfall by saturday afternoon, saturday night and then it's in philadelphia as far as the remnants just rain, humidity maybe little wind by late monday into tuesday. so that's a pretty fast-moving system. as we take look at the spaghetti plots this is update as well. we look at all of those hurricane models and they're pretty much on target with that forecast from the national hurricane center. it moves to
