the arrival of migrants coming into southern italy and helping extensively in greece, working with the arrives and assuring their safety. on the border with macedonia, we're supporting smaller ngo's to bring aid to very vulnerable people. it's a very rapidly moving conflict issue. as your report that very, very well described, on both sides of the border, it is much calmer than yesterday, but the story is moving on into germany. >> indeed. i was going to ask you a little more about what kind of conversations are taking place to enable these people, these desperate people to move from greece through to macedonia, now on their way to serbia? what kind of agreement has been struck between these governments involved? >> well, i'm not privy to any particular talks, but one can see clearly there is an attempt by many countries to move the problem along as quickly as possible. turkey is a nato member state, is a safe country, and refugees are entitle to seek asylum there but choose not to, where they move to greece and encouraged to move further north. macedonia recognizing there's a tidal wave on the way and moving them along, as well. this is just addin

southern border with serbia. so far it has not stopped people coming across. many. refugees arriving in hungary are coming from macedonia and serbia. andrew simmonds joins us. i'm wondering if the refugees heard the news that police are considering, or the government is considering sending in the army. is it going to stop them or make the journey harder. >> that is the right question. they have not heard yet, they are concerned. we have been speak toing some of the refugees -- speaking to some of the refugees from syria. this is a large camp, a park in the center of the serbian capital. and the people here have not heard yet any word of the latest situation in hungary, and they are very worried. i was speaking to a woman from aleppo a short time ago and she was asking what is happening there, this is before the reports came through about tear gas being fired in roche ka center. now, what the people here are doing is really preparing for what is effectively the last leg of their journey to the european union. as you pointed out, hungary is in the shang agreement, which means there'll be passport free travel. the problem
