we're still finding some pockets of heavy rainfall throughout downtown san francisco, marin, napa and the southern peninsula, as well. it's not only that but the wind. anyone traveling over the bay bridge, san francisco eastside or oakland eastside dealing with winds that are shaking around the camera here. gusts up to 33 miles per hour and 28. that is sustained comes out of the southeast. sustained winds at 28 here for a good section of the bay area, and that's why we do think we'll have power outages throughout tonight and possibly with that second storm system as we head throughout friday, as well. totals are impressive. look at this, already today fairfax with 1.41 and sarah toga 1.12 and santa clara at .85 and we'll get a look across other locations. santa cruz .21. of course, we're continuing to track the sec storm and overall totals right now continue to ramp up the possibility by friday evening that actually san jose could have some of the highest totals with nearly 2.5 inches and over 2 inches expected in the north bay. we'll have more in my full micro climate forecast later on in the sho

southern california. the system that is tracking mainly along the coast should bring the highest rain totals along the areas there in the marin coast, sonoma county coastline, to santa cruz. maybe as much as 1/4 inch of rain along the coast around santa cruz. some of the hill tops may pick up 1/2 inch of rain. we're expecting a little less rain inland, but more so closer to that area of low pressure which will be tracking north-to-south during the day tomorrow. i want to jump ahead to the bigger storm in the forecast, not for a while. once we get past the system on sunday, things will stay dry through wednesday and thursday of next week. but saturday, now, that should be a fairly strong cold front, unlike this cutoff low that drops down the coast. this one could be a big-time snow producer as a conveyor of moisture aims in on the sierra. that system has the potential for perhaps two to three feet of snow. something to look forward to towards the end of the seven-day forecast. tomorrow, chance of rain. much cooler temperatures. highs in the mid-50s in san jose. highest chances along the peninsula coastline. pacifica southward
