those of you in southern maryland will be the last to hang onto the rain. by the time the morning commute rolls on, it will be out of here with future weather, rain moving through washington and prince george's county around midnight until 2:00 a.m. and then after that, skies clear, winds will continue to pick up overnight tonight. it's going to be a breezy day tomorrow, not just breezy but chilly, as well, and in fact for the entire week on into next weekend, our high temperatures remain below average. at this point, our high typically about 50 degrees. highs this week will be in the 30s and low 40s. the good news, though, just a chance of some light snow this week. we're not looking at any major snowstorms. 48 is the temperature in washington right now. the winds picking up out of the north at about 16 miles an hour. it's breezy out there now and will continue to be breezy for monday. keep that in mind so it will feel colder than it is. at least we'llave mostly sunny skies. so starting off your day tomorrow, a rude awakening. 35 at 7:00 a.m. 40 by 10:00 a

issued a winter weather advisory from areas from fauquier county to anne arundel and down in southern maryland. arguably st. mary's, especially the northern half should be in it. that goes till 2:00 p.m. we've been tracking the first system all night and through the morning and you can certainly see the back edge now as it's getting close to us with flurries and snow showers left behind it. there are places like winchester and hagerstown that had hardly anything out of this. while we had 2 to 3 inches in many areas. loudoun county, a couple snow flurries there but west of fairfax, now we're really starting to wind down. western fairfax as well. lighter snows in montgomery and howard counties. south of d.c., when you get down south of manassas over to quantico and in toward la plata, it's coming down. stafford toward prince frederick and all of this is moving toward the east. so these areas still have another 1 to 2 hours. they could pick up another inch of snow out this band of moderate snow. temperatures upper 20s to low 30s now. we have had some areas, some bridges, some overpasses that have

freezing rain advisories to include fredericksburg and spotsylvania county all the way into southern maryland, don't think it will be a huge problem there. please be careful getting the paper tomorrow and walking to your car and allow extra time to scrape your car. warnings continue for ice from gaithersburg northward into frederick. so we're thinking about a trace to .05-inch in the freezing rain advisory area, but north of town maybe .05-inch to perhaps 1/4-inch between gaithersburg and frederick and north of leesburg. the bull's eye is where the snow was yesterday along the i- 70 corridor north and west from frederick to hagerstown to martinsburg to cumberland. you could actually see anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2-inch of ice and that would cause some big problems. glaze inside the beltway by 6 a.m. ice will accumulate on tree everywhere. critical areas are still west of i-95 and critical times are between now and 8 a.m. wednesday. here comes the storm. magenta is the mixed precipitation, rain across the delmarva, snow to our north. it is not a snow event for us. it is a freezing rain event. we'
