hagerstown, martinburg, you're not in it and points west but everybody else, southern maryland, the eastern shore, most of new jersey, the state of delaware are under a dense fog advisory till 10:00. locally here's a look at visibilities. half mile in baltimore. a half mile being reported at dulles at this hour. so it's creeping off toward the north. still three miles at national. but i expect this number to be dropping. even up in frederick, you guys are down to one half mile visibility. fredricksburg zero. a lot of dense fog. southern maryland down to the south. take it easy. it's going to slow you down. remember low beams. the bus stop forecast, we've got the fog, the low clouds. it could be some drizzle developing as well. but right now not hearing about any. 52 to 62. sunrise at 8 after 7:00 this morning. we start with the low clouds and fog, a stray sprinkle. by noon we'll start to see sunshine. the cloud cover won't be as extensive as yesterday. it will burn off quicker. with more sun this afternoon we'll make it to the mid- to upper 70s in many areas. winds out of the south at 5 to 10 miles an hour. by 8:00

new york city, boston, philly, across jersey. warming up nicely right around 65, 07 degrees in a lot of spots. some warmer than that. snow showers in southernto northern new mexico. temperatures dropping in the blue right along the cold front, 51 in kansas city, warming up nicely ahead of that. eventually we're going to sit here with the rain for several days as a cutoff low hangs out across the southern plains and some of the rainfall amounts adding up here, six, several inches of rain. especially the arklatex region and the mid-atlantic by the time we get through friday. cold front drops in, changes the weather dramatically, cooling off in the northeast, back into the 40s in new york city after a nice little taste of spring. drying out by saturday in the east. more showers in the nation's heartland, down into southern texas. this system will bring rain up into the great lakes, not snow. in the low 50s around chicago and minneapolis. next storm starting to move in out of the pacific northwest. end of the weekend, that will fizzle out somewhat, but we certainly need the rain here. again, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday, perhaps monday, a

southern portions of maryland. we talked about this last night about that cool marine influence right on down from places like new jersey and over towards delaware coming off the atlantic ocean and affecting our weather. out there today high temperature so far 59 degrees low of 51. so not much movement there as we did see plenty of clouds today and, yes, 23 degrees cooler than it was yesterday with a high of 82 degrees. some of you did make it into the 70s across the area. mostly to the north and the west of washington and especially down to the south and west. 59 right now under mostly cloudy skies. still some visibility problems. we're starting to see breaks in the clouds around the district so that is good news. current temperatures on the warm side to the north. hagerstown over 70 earlier. now 68 degrees. cumberland, maryland at 77 a little bit earlier and now 71 in charlottesville. 64 in fredericksburg and a cooler 55 over toward annapolis. as far as high temperatures go around the region, this is where they were the warmest. 72 in morgantown. 73 in roanoke. 75 in richmond. but up to the north only 59. philadelphia
