this area of low pressure to reverse and to southern pennsylvania. it will linger around to the day tomorrow so we may not be done with this until some time tomorrow night. off to the northeast, we are seeing some lightning strikes in these bands of tropical light systems. this almost became a tropical storm and is now moving inland. look at some of these rainfall totals. 4.27 in ocean city and most of that was yesterday. 4.17 in atlantic city. 3.9 in no. baltimore county. that is why this northeast corner has been hit the hardest and they are under a flood warning. small streams and creeks in northern baltimore county could see some floating on going. you want to be very careful. you do not want to drive through a flooded road way. the winds were stronger but we got significant gusts moving in. these are blowing at about 25 miles per hour. it is breezy, wet and cool. the typical high would be about 80 but we are in the '50s and '60s were the rain has been coming down fairly steady. we will see a temperature range in the '50s and '60s. clouds and occ

southern cada. we do have a few sprinkles up in pennsylvania this morning.here you see the counties in blue, this is a frost advisory for western maryland, includes garrett and allegheny counties. much of west virginia and into the ohio valley under a frost advisory for tomorrow morning, the first one of the season. as we look across the nation, if you're traveling today, there may be travel problems with snow out in the colorado rockies as well as perhaps parts of wyoming and utah and farther to the north there some of the lower elevations may see some rain as well as parts of new mexico. maybe thunderstorms in south texas and south florida. elsewhere, shouldn't have any travel problems. blustery winds may delay flights through new england with scattered passing showers there. for our part of the world, we've got this area of low pressure spinning way over soith earn canada and continuing to give us this flow out of the northwest. it will keep it chilly today. we've got dry high pressure building in the midwest. that's going to be sliding over us during the

southern part of new jersey. we have an area of flash-flood watch in pennsylvania until 4:00 p.m.these watches and warnings out of our way, but close enough that we want to keep an eye with the rain falling heavily in some spots. you will have to deal with it if you're traveling north i-83, especially looking like the area most difficult to handle. look at the moisture, the white area indicating where the moisture is and the darker area where it's drier. the low pressure center we have been talking about it, finally moving closer toward the eastern seaboard but to the north, that is why new jersey, and delaware under the gun while we get on the backside of it. it's not going to climb a whole lot staying in the 60s the whole day. the rain presenting problems on the roadways this morning. candace dold has a look at what is happening out there specifically with the traffic edge. candace, good morning. >> reporter: thank you, steve. good morning, this is going to be a major concern for everybody that is traveling on the roadways because you can see on our radar it's showing exactly wh

pennsylvania. we're sort of on the southern end of any precipitation chances here. and maybe a few flight delays in south florida as there may be a few isolated thunderstorms there. but for us, well, this big storm that's spinning way over the great lakes with a lot of wind is going to be passing to our north. and as it does, it will swing this front that is just now coming into western ohio, out of eastern indiana and out ahead of that we'll have some pretty strong winds gusting out of the southwest perhaps to around 20 to 25 miles an hour as the early afternoon progresses. this front looks like it will begin to move into the mountains here probably in about, oh, late morning to around noontime. they'll get the chance of showers first and then that front, as it goes by, we'll see our winds shifting into the northwest and bring in much cooler weather. as we go forward over the next 48 hours that front rapidly moving through and behind that we'll have some pretty gusty winds tonight, into tomorrow. this low pressure system will be over southern ontario during the day

southern portions of anne arundel county, charles, st. mary's county, we also have a few light scattered showers on the eastern shore, also up in pennsylvania and there's still a chance we could see one or two sprinkles make their way through the baltimore area but again it won't be a big deal. it's just the relate result of that area of low pressure row kateing counterclockwise. in monkton 60 degrees. 61 at the science center. westminster 61. 60 emmitsburg. mount airy 62. columbia reports in with 62. 63 glen burnie. 66 rock hall. aberdeen now at 62. as far as our forecast for the overnight period -- the clouds remain with us for the next couple hours but then during the early morning hours, after midnight, skies clear out nicely and again, that's when we are going to see cool temperatures. on friday, a chance of scattered showers making their way through the region but the majority of the rainfall here will rotate through the region on saturday. here's your forecast for tonight -- mostly clear after midnight. 46 for the overnight low but cooler temperature in the northern and western suburbs. during the day tomorrow, going to be pretty nic

southern canada. a line of shower and maybe a rumbling of thunder from toronto and buffalo back to northwest pennsylvaniaeland. for us this is bringing in a stiff northwest wind. so we will have that breeze today at times. these winds will gust close to 30 miles an hour. clouds up here today but a disturbance rotates an this big storm tomorrow and that's why i think we have a chance of a few sprinkles. we see this on microcast nine how the clouds are increasing this afternoon and tonight, ahead of this. in the mountains some showers are possible today and tonight. some sprinkles any way and on wednesday, you see them popping up here and there. nothing too organized but a passing sprinkle is not out of the question. look at the seven-day forecast. temperatures on the cool side to start. 66 tomorrow. tomorrow night that 49 for reagan national. a lot of low 40s and maybe upper 30s far north and west by thursday morning. late shower on friday. showers more likely on saturday and sunday for the skins home game. let's beat tampa. 71 with sunshine. >> we're going to beat tampa. that's the attitude, howie b. >>

southern portion of the region. 16 here. nice breeze at the beach. out in oakland, not much of a wind at all. and this morning, up in bradford, pennsylvania, about 275 miles north/northwest of baltimore, it was 34 degrees. that is typically a very, very cold spot, by the way. down to the south, hot, humid, showers and thunderstorms. this disturbance, it's going to continue for the next day or so. there could be something affecting the carolina coast. not of a tropical nature, necessarily. but could be some additional rain on the coast. and some of that may reach into our region thursday night and into friday. i'll keep that perhaps in the forecast. but look at this. most of the country, really, very beautiful. and very, very pleasant. all of this stuff being suppressed by high pressure. and for the time being, it will keep the cloud the at bay. cleared off of ocean city. but continue to watch. pleasant weather around our region. that low going offshore, it had taken the clouds and precip with it. it's possible, we get cloud cover here friday into saturday. maybe into the weekend as the high moves off. our winds become a little more southe
