we'll take a look at the radar moving through southern pennsylvania. a little rain went through the city here. and by far the worst of the weather is near philadelphia and those big storms are moving offshore now. there is another storm activity coming out of west, virginia so we're likely to see one more band of rain coming here tonight. you can see rain estimates. two bands of rain mostly north of us and south of us. baltimore's been in kind of a hole with all of this and we've only received generally here in the metropolitan area. the heat and humidity will be up for quite a while as we go into the week with some hot but not record-breaking temperatures. forecast details just ahead. a baltimore police officer is on administrative leave after shooting and killing a man in northwest baltimore. authorities identify the man as devante bowman. he was with a semi-automatic gun. he took off leading to a brief chase. one of the officers fired his gun killing him. >> the state medical examiner is conditioning an autopsy of a man . . the body was found on mer

>> i have pulled up this map that shows the entire metro area, portions of west virginia, southern pennsylvania. underneath that flash flood watch until 11:00 tonight. this all came about from the previous storms we had overnight and we're expecting another round of heavy storms, possibly even severe weather rolling in later on today. now, as we take a look a little bit closer, we can see the entire area is going to be underneath this particular watch. and that means that today's temperatures we're backing down a little bit. instead of 87 degrees, we should probably get into the middle range 80s before the storms start to hit. right now on radar we're only picking up on a few light sprinkles so far. nothing steady. no reds or yellows on the radar yet but as we progress into the afternoon, that will change. the storms will probably start about 3:00 to 4:00 in ernest. we could see very steady rain for the drive time home during the 5:00, 6:00 stretch. and most definitely some of these showers will linger into the later night period, including 9:00, 11:00, and some portions of the viewing area off

and even 60's as you head into southern pennsylvania.starting to come in from the north and you can see that right now in our dew point map. dew point temperatures show you how much moisture is in the atmosphere. the lower the number, the drier it is. dew point temperatures are dropping in the low 60's while still near 70 degrees in annapolis and same case for the southern eastern shore. still some muggy weather in place but most of us should be clearing out. we had a cold front switch over the area last night. now, this is moving off shore. in its place, high pressure will be building in. this comes with that drier air and we'll stick with that pleasant weather at least throughout today and early part of tomorrow. then we'll watch for unsettled weather to move back in. cold front pressing across the plains and this will make its way back into the east for the early part of the work week and we'll have that instability in place for the entire work week and that means unsettled weather possible every single day with a more sotherly flow,

well and can you see one or two tornado warnings and these extend from new york city through southern pennsylvania and into northern west virginia and all along eastern ohio. the line is slowly sinking to the north and some of the model guidance wants to suggest that it should weaken into the area. when we have this kind of tropical humidity and high heat, i would certainly expect the storms to be strong. they're now moving into western maryland. i wanted you to see a second potentially stronger line as it looks on radar right now and that is also going to have to be watched and looks to be more energized as it will probably move in this direction as well and we're going to watch for these, 8, 9:00 and later, keep a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the forecast and into the overnight hours and probably during the day tomorrow as well. no record today, but we did hit 100. dulles, you broke a record, 98 degrees and actually tieing the record from no one 66. bwi marshal, nice and tropical at everyone in degrees and we're still at 97. quantico, still 101 and annapolis, 92 and talk about the heat
