yesterday. 8 to 9 inches of snow to the north near the maryland- pennsylvania border, up in southern pennsylvania. you thought it was bad at fed ex field and worse at baltimore, they got clobbered with the snow during football yesterday. all the areas in pink, still the light freezing rain. you see a few pockets of it in southern maryland. most of it from fauquier county, prince william north up toward northern maryland, western maryland. still isolated pockets of freezing rain from romney and paw paw out in toward myersville. i got a facebook friend in myersville. he said he had an half-inch of ice up there. that's the biggest total i've heard about so far. quarter inch totals in purcelville, montgomery village across the river. the this is on top of the snow. this morning again around colonial beach, king george, dahlgren watching light freezing rain. all of this moving to the east, northeast. oxford, cambridge, you may be in a lull at the moment but more rain coming your way the next few hours. finally starting to see a little warm air through to the cold air. charleston at 39. 37 novembering

showers remaining at the higher elevations and mountains so portions through west virginia, southern pennsylvania and panhandle of maryland you will see snow moving on through but the metro center is safe. we will get the opportunity, though, to bundle up, stepping out this morning. right now 29 at reagan national. 21 for manassas and down in the 20s in portions of southern maryland. so a chilly start but a lot of sunshine moving on through. futurecast breaks it down like this. morning clouds till about the 11:00 hour. then by noon we're looking at a pretty good dose of sunshine. into the afternoon and evening hours it will be calm, clear and quiet. so go ahead with those evening plans. but if you're stepping out on friday morning, it's going to be cool and clear again. so another chilly start is on tap for us. let's take a look at how things break down temperature wise. 40s for most of us. we'll see some of the lower 40s the further you go up to the north and way off toward the west only the middle range to lower 30s for highs. the good thing about this forecast is it stays green. for today and

most of the activity was snow, morgantown into western maryland headed up into southern pennsylvania. yeah, a couple flakes possible tomorrow, especially north of town. for the most part this is more of a pennsylvania, new york, new jersey deal. so a little clipper moved through primarily in the morning and bus stop temps are cold, no winds to speak of, 26 to 36. flurries or light snow mainly north and west in the morning and then afternoon and evening right around rush hour rain and snow showers are possible. in fact, some snow showers are possible even into early tomorrow night as that little upper air disturbance kicks on through. so overnight mostly cloudy and cold, light snow or flurries, again primarily north and west of town, low temperatures 26 to about 32 with light winds. by morning again a little light snow or flurries mainly north and west, less than an inch, 26 to 40 and by afternoon we're looking at mostly cloudy skies, chilly but now rain or snow showers possible, could even be a little sun in the early afternoon in between the surface and upper level low and the winds

pennsylvania. you look for the blues on this radar. you can see just north of pittsburgh, we have heavier snow. it's very light. it's also already changing over to rain in southernstem. even in new york city, even in boston, we're going to see a changeover from snow to rain eventually. but in the meantime, there's that icy mix that we'll have to track. that's going to play a role in just how much snowfall we get. but it looks like we should end up with about 6 to 12 inches in interior parts of especially new england, closer to a foot. interior parts of new york and western massachusetts, closer to about 6 to 8 inches. in new york city itself, about 3 to 6 before it changes over to some rain later on tonight. but most of the 3 to 6 inches we'll get in the city is going to happen between about 5:00 p.m. to 7:00, 8:00 p.m. that's when we'll get the bulk of our heavy snow. that's when you don't want to be on the roads. >> is there anything behind this one or are we out of the woods? >> most areas. lake-effect snow will kick in. but after this one, i think we're okay for at least a couple of days. >> couple of days. >> no guarantees past that. >> dylan, thank you so
