we just have a few spotty showers headed toward the lehigh valley, perhaps the southern poconos, toward wilmington, a few sprinkles. but this is certainly not heavy rain for you. so at this point, we're just kind of looking back, where did the heavy rainfall? well, we saw a little bit of it early up here near the lehigh valley in berks county. this is where we really saw the bulls-eye of rain. and if you look up here, anywhere from 3 to 5 inches falling across parts of southern jersey. so it definitely explains why we saw all of the flooding. here are the damage reports that we saw across the area. wind, we saw trees snap, we saw flooding, we saw lightning. here's a couple of the unusual ones. some of the trees right here, we had damage to car windows from trees and hail. here we had 1-inch hail that fell in south jersey, and here we had a lightning strike. it struck a car which caught on fire. we have quieted down, but now we're looking toward the weekend. so come on back. i think i'll put a smile on your face with the forecast, guys. >>> now, a case of road rage that left a car damage

you see this strong line of storms making its way through the lehigh valley and the southern poconos.d toward trenton, perhaps philadelphia. that's produced in buffalo, new york, a tornado. this is the same line of storms that's hung together since 2:00, 3:00. severe thunderstorm warning in effect that encompasses parts of lehigh valley and all the way over into parts of monroe and carbon counties. that's headed towards the pennsylvania suburb. let's look at who is affected. at 7:03, all of you in bethlehem

weather center an stormtracker 6 live double scan most of the storms today north of the poconos and lehigh valley into southern new england and we see a couple of nasty storms popping in northwestern pennsylvania and those will fall apart as they work to the south and east. no energy to get things to bubble up here. we can't have cooling downpours here this evening. it's certainly feeling tropical out here and the dew points running in the 70s in much of the area, dover 77 and 75 in cape may. you rarely get to 77 in this region this is oppressive humidity and that is why it feels so uncomfortable out. it's not the air temperature but the dew point that throws the numbers into the 90s. heat index 93 philadelphia and 94 in trenton and at the shore today you are jealous someone is down there thinking they are colling off. 97 in beach haven and cape may over 100 in the last hour and now 93 and dover 102 degrees is how it feels right now. >> the excessive heat warnings go into effect now and last through the afternoon. the heat warning in the bright area of pink on the i-95 corridor. close to 105 tomorrow afternoon
