reports from hezbollah media office that just about half an hour ago there was a large blast in a southern suburb of beirut. this is a stronghold for the militant shiite group hezbollah. the spokesman i was talking to said that they believe there could be several casualties. they don't have a casualty count just yet. the television outlet for hezbollah has said there are at least nine wounded, two possibly critically. pictures show a very dramatic scene. a lot of devastation. huge plumes of smoke. many cars there set ablaze. nobody has yet claimed responsibility for this attack, but there was a similar attack in early july in the same neighborhood. and the consensus opinion that's really starting to emerge at this hour here in beirut is that this was an attack directed at hezbollah because of their involvement in the syrian civil war. it's a very complicated story here how the syrian civil war is affecting lebanon. lebanon is a tiny country that neighbors syria. the sectarian lines in this country mirror the sectarian lines in syria. so it's a country that's really polarized as far as who support

southern california, let's get right to the video. this happened just after 10:00 this morning. that charter bus overturned on the side of the 210 freeway in the los angeles county suburb of irwindale. it collided with a big rig and ended up on its side between the freeway and railroad tracks. l.a. county fire officials say more than 50 people, bus passengers, were injured. and earlier we saw some of them lying on the roadway shoulder waiting for medical attention. the chp does not know yet what caused the crash. but that bus itself will be held in the investigation. and choppers landed right on the freeway. medical helicopters took at least five injured passengers to local hospitals. on the ground at least 10 ambulances took others away from the scene. while we know dozens of people are injured, early reports are that none of those injuries appears to be critical. also cantonese and mandarin translators were requested to help communicate with some of the bus passengers. this accident first stopped traffic in both directions. that traffic mess extended for miles it was so bad people were getting out of their vehicles. the westbound lanes opened up less than an hour aft
