there's a look at all the fires burning in the southland.e looking at this red flag warning with the stronger winds coming in today right here. so they did have a bit of a break but that's over. current winds are on the light side now but they'll continue to increase. there's a look at the afternoon and evening when the gusts from about 20 to even 40 miles an hour from the north and blowing offshore, actually easterly winds, you can see up to 40 to 44 miles an hour for the malibu hills there and out towards altadena, over 35 miles an hour. so unfortunately, that's the first round. and then another round comes in monday into tuesday. and with the offshore winds, the air quality is of course poor right by the fire. but those offshore winds pushing that smoke out to sea. right now we're in the 40s and 50s with our own upper elevation wind allowing for mid 50s from vallejo to sonoma right now, and our wind advisory taking us through tomorrow morning. so you can see the hills here, north east bay, eastern santa clara hills, and the light colors h

and we're following the weather here in the bay area and the southland because the fires in la, you know, everyone down, there's hoping it works in their favor. hopefully it comes down. at least it's not as windy as yesterday was but still breezy enough that we have an extension of red flag warnings and those high wind warnings too up here in the bay. we are enjoying a calm day. look at all that sunshine in san jose area. we're going to be seeing low 70's later on this afternoon and absolutely gorgeous day for the bay on southern california. the fire danger still persists. we have those red flag warnings and high wind warnings extended through tomorrow night. a continuation of the stronger winds and it looks like more wind into next week is looking likely to up here in the bay. things are comparatively quiet. we have seen our advisories expire already had expired yesterday morning about the only windiest spots are areas like the delta. the rest of us are comparatively calm. temperatures are starting to climb. it's a lot of 50's. a few low 60's. returning now with palo alto at 60 degrees.

there is a rare warning for the southland. it's called a pds.nd the pds is particularly dangerous situation. this essentially is a level up. this is the area in purple. this is a level up from a red flag warning. so it's like taking your taking it all the way up and beyond. so we saw one of these yesterday as well. we haven't really had one of these in northern california yet. but when you see pds you know you've got some serious business going on up there. the winds right now are not that out of control. 15 to 20 miles an hour in the hills. i did pick up some winds out of oxnard at about 40 miles an hour. out by just north of malibu. those winds will pick up later on tonight into tomorrow morning. this is the palisades. wind 15 mile an hour. wind gusts. still not a lot. but as we get into the midnight hours, you'll see here and into the overnight tonight into tomorrow morning, the winds really pick up. note the colors. this is tomorrow morning at 6 a.m, the colors representing where the wind fields are. and then watch it peaks. the winds peak a
