at southwest flow is pretty much starting to take uniform shape across the state. that will be with a light breeze today. not too blustery through the afternoon. as we tap into the warmer conditions all of our neighbors, really from detroit and washington and -- chicago and the great lakes, they are warmer than us. the great lakes, michigan, minnesota, st. paul, and texas. there is not a lot of participation in the country. we have the high pressure in control. the high is going to change our forecast. the high is just to out south now, it was earlier to our north. and it was bringing in that cold air from the northwest. because it is to our south, it is tapping in, again the clockwise flow around the air that is bringing in the southwest wind, that will get us up into the range of 60 degrees. and tomorrow much like today in the upper 50s. there is a southwest wind on the bay at 10 to 15 knots. and gusting up to 20. 57 degrees today. and a little bit breezy. with patchy clouds and sunshine. the lows around 38. not quite as cold as this past overnight. 57 degrees to

a major earnings win for southwest airlines.c carrier by passengers reporting very quarter earnings of $0.37 a share, revenue for$.5 billion. shares southwest, hitting a new all-time high, 1690. the stock is at 1687 just $0.03 shy. the number for the company, passenger revenue rising 5.1% beat analysts' estimates. i asked gary kelly of the streak would continue in future quarters. >> an interesting year, we had the effect from the tax increases and budget cuts so the spring was a little soft even though we had a record-setting quarter. july, august, september have been very strong. and the government shutdown also looked very strong. overall unit revenue is up 4.5%, very solid. the passenger component was up 5.1%. whether it is sustainable in the fourth quarter and into next year at that level i don't know but somewhere in that neighborhood is fine and we will be pleased with that continuing over the next four or five quarters. cheryl: how are you feeling about solid bookingss and render holiday bookings? we are hearing from a l

tomorrow a west/southwest wind will allow warmer air.'s been pretty warm out in the midwest the last few days. a weak frontal boundary dying out. behind it slightly cooler air. behind that another system that brought a lot of rain and snow at higher elevations in a northwestern section. that eventually will cool us down, but not until early next week, maybe a shower here on sunday. in the meantime, generally fair skies, from time to time a few clouds drifting through the area but no real weather makers in our part of the world at all. high pressure over the region, slips a little further to the south and southwest that's allowing that warm air to come in. the mild air just a little bit cooler just to the north by late in the day and wednesday. we could easily be 84, 85, maybe 86 degrees. now the record for wednesday here is 89. so it will be rather close to that. behind it, slightly, only slightly cooler air coming in for the end of the week. quick look at jerry. a little stronger tonight but it's in the middle of the atlantic. not going

and the flow is from the west and southwest and bringing in the arm air. you're looking at several things after a warm front is leading the way bringing us into the warmer air. we're bringing warmer air from the south and southwest, that is helping to get it temperatures up in the 80, mid 80 d degree-- range. following that is a cold front to pull in the moisture from tropical storm karen. karen will make landfall between this evening and tomorrow morning, as a category 1 hurricane potentially. but is going to other direction. now, the winds are down at 5:00 to 4 miles per hour as opposed to increasing. we expect it to be a tropical storm. it moves across the mid atlantic, it will lose the characteristics. it will be a rain storm. all of the models are moving it across the atlanta. we will see the rain on monday, but on tuesday it is leaving the area. we will get the rain but not the problems. we need the rain. 6:43 is your sunrise time today. we're looking at temperatures going up to 86 degrees. the fog, there is any other there will be gone quickly. 64 d
