. >>> a southwest philadelphia interests section is closed for several days after a water main broke and flooded it out. it all started at 6:00 this morning at the corner of 63rd and eastwick where officials say a car crashed into a sinkhole. annie mccormick has the story. >> reporter: both from the air and ground you can see where water covered the entire intersection at of and and eastwick, when fire crews responded all they saw was a beat up road and water to make this road impassable. a car dipped into a sinkhole and that started a chain reaction underground to cause a water main to break. >> we had to determine which main was broken and identified it as a 12 inch broken main. >> look at the damage left behind at 63rd and eastwick because of the water main break, you can see where a portion of the asphalt actually buckled. >> it's a headache for a while commuters had a headache when they realize theed it was too late. crews worked quickly to shut the water off and they will spend the bulk of the day to clean it up and clean this spot and they hope it will not impact water supply.

one all started with report of a man shooting a gun in the air around 11:00 last night in southwest philadelphia. when police arrived to the 5300 block of grays avenue, they saw that man with the gun, police asked the man to drop the weapon. he refused, instead, started shooting at officers. officers returned fire. one bullet hitting the suspect in both legs, no officers were injured in that shooting. the suspect was taken to the hospital after a short chase. >>> there is one more assault women on on the streets of philadelphia, and in the hands of a criminal this morning. >> ak47 was stolen right out of the hands of its owner during robbery saturday on 54th and berks streets, philadelphia police say a man used a firearms classified website called arms list. com to sell the gun to a man he met on line. but the deal was a set-up. a second suspect pulled a begin on the man, and stole the rifle instead of buying it. the 24 year old victim from delaware county explains the robbery. >> before i even get a chance to open up, he has a gun in his pocket, and goes get the (beep) back in your car or i'm g

repairs continue at the site of a water main break in southwest philadelphia at this hour. it happened early this morning and police say that a car that got stuck in a shallow sinkhole in the road made the situation even worse. annie mccormick has this story. >> reporter: look at the damage left behind at 63rd and eastwood because of the water main break. you can see where a portion of the asphalt actually buckled. it looked and sounded like a babbling brook at 6:00 this morning. when crews responded all they saw was a beat up road and enough water to make it impassable. a car dip nood a sinkhole and that cause aid chain reaction under grown to cause a water main break. >> we had to determine the main, and identified it has a 12 inch broken main. >> commuters already had a headache at 9:00 a.m. and were forced to turn around. and water department crews worked quickly to shut the main off. once we shut it down there should be no customers impacted. however, if we need to shut furnish away from the valves we were trying to work on there are customers that will get repairs tod
