snowing in parts of southwest texas and even in the hills of mexico. and we have winter storm warnings in southern mississippi where they are worried about 2 or 3 irvelgs of snow. around here it's not a big deal, but they don't have the equipment to remove it. it's a big system for there. we have the clouds increase iin tomorrow. no snow during the day tomorrow. now this is just one model. this model keeps us relatively dry through saturday early morning and then brings light snow up through the area along the coast here by saturday and out of here by sunday. some of the other models are more aggressive. so in the next half hour, i'll give you our best guess of snowfall amounts. but this is what i'm thinking. the steadier to the south and east. slushy accumulation is possible on the grassy surfaces and we'll continue to watch the trends. if they shift to the west, we could be looking at higher amounts. it's just an hour by hour situation tammie souza will be back at 11:00 tonight. you can expect this throughout your weekend. not a big storm on saturday

southwest of san francisco. it's better but nowhere close to where we need it to be. we want it well to the south or over maybe texas to steer some storms into here. we're not there yet. hopefully the end of next week we will be, but for the foreseeable future we are staying mainly dry. a little fog tomorrow morning near the bay, sunshine, clear afternoon skies. friday less fog as the atmosphere dries out a bit and friday afternoon will feature sunshine. it is almost like the set it and forget it forecast with similar temperatures daily. i showed you this yesterday. we're looking at two different computer models and their predictions for new year's morning, monday morning at 7:00. remember yesterday? one had a ton of rainfall. one had nothing. this one had nothing. these forecast models still keep all the rainfall well offshore. let me show you the one that did have rain over northern california yesterday. doesn't anymore, not even close. every computer model now agrees we will not see rainfall likely not until next thursday or friday at the earliest. watch out for fog late tonight, early tomorrow morning especially
